The guide was very nice and very knowledgeable, my issue is that we basically ran through the exhibitions. There was no time to stop and enjoy the art. Only in the Sistine chapel.

When talking about early democracies, our guide, Fred, insinuated that perhaps Democracy in the US would be threatened if a certain candidate (Kamala Harris) wasn't elected. I very much wanted to tell him to stick to history and keep out of politics and that the USA is not a Democracy, but a Republic. He also espoused the virtues of the ancient cultures accepting homosexuality and bisexuality and implied that society has gone in the wrong direction since then. I very much wanted to point out to him that these same (accepting) people thought entertainment was watching Christians being fed to the lions. I alos wanted to tell him that it is not up to Christ and/or Christians to accept the sin of homosexuality, but conversely it is up to the sinner to accept Christ and His teachings. Please do speak heretically of Christian values, especially in the Vatican.
