I wanted to spend full day at castle to deeply go thru everything but it was too short ie started at 14:20 n by 17:00 we had to reach the coach station. In that way it's very expensive your, the prices can be reduced further

I was disappointed that st George's Hall is closed on a Sunday. Im not sure if it said this pre booking, I think not. Certainly it wasn't clear. I had two days I could have visited and would have picked differently had I know.

Obtaining the tickets was a smooth, user-friendly transaction. The lady at the Victoria Gate entrance was knowledgable and took the time to explain the ammenties offered as well as highlighted the must-sees of the garden. Everything was labeled and the walkway signage was clear. Overall a totally wonderful experience!

Tickets for entry into the Windsor Castle went good. Staff was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed our day touring the castle and town.

Pre book tickets is a must. It can get very busy, and the queues and security take a while to get through. It is to be expected though, so not a major issue. One inside Windsor Castle is amazing, and worth every penny of the entrance fee. Allow a few hours for your visit as there is plenty to see.

These works seamlessly reflect the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, especially those of Charles II and George IV. Along with masterpieces from the likes of Holbein, Rubens, and Van Dyck, you can admire some exquisite specimens of English and French furniture.

Art, architecture, and royalty

Visit the St. George’s Chapel and see the final resting place of former monarchs like Henry VIII, Jane Seymour, Queen Mary, Charles I, Edward VII, and Queen Alexandra. It is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England, so don't miss the chance to admire its stone ceiling and ornate walls. From October to March, you can explore the Semi-State Apartments, private apartments created for George IV. Feast your eyes on some of the most elaborately decorated rooms in the Castle with richly colored wallpaper and golden furniture.

Photography is not permitted inside the building.
Large backpacks and pushchairs are not permitted in the State Apartments.
Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

The Castle's Admission Centre provides an audio-descriptive tour for blind or partially-sighted visitors.

Additional information

The Semi-State Rooms are included in the visitor route during the winter months. Standard admission charges will apply. The Semi-State Rooms are not open on days when the State Apartments are closed.
St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays.
