Visit a goldsmith’s workshop in the heart of Dorgali to experience the ancient art of Sardinian filigree making. As you enter, hear the sound of hammers and smell the scent of melting metal. See walls lined with tools and equipment used for generations. Mattia, the filigree goldsmith, will invite you to his workbench and will explain the process of filigree crafting from the fusion of precious metals to the creation of the jewel: rolling, drawing, design, and final product.
