Great experience, perfect length, great lunch & wine. The guide was the cherry on top, fascinating explanations about the places we saw, and even additional explanations about Florence and different things that we saw on the way. The bus trip itself is also a breath of fresh air and air conditioning in between sightseeing. The only tip: I think for european travelers, the 'winery' is obviously not a real winery but a business for tourist entertainment, especially because of the slightly pathetic comedy show pulled by the winery host, with bad jokes targeting directly North American tourists.
A well-curated itinerary
Embark on an adventure from Florence, starting with Siena. If selected, meet your knowledgeable local guide who will lead you on a comprehensive tour of the historic center. Begin at the magnificent Basilica of San Domenico, a Renaissance masterpiece dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena. Continue to the awe-inspiring 12th-century Cathedral, where you can explore its majestic architecture and vibrant polychrome marbles during an optional inside visit.
Traverse the gentle hills of Chianti to arrive at a charming winery, where you can unwind and savor the wonders of Chianti wine and local delicacies. Indulge in a tasting of 4 wines, complemented by a lunch featuring three courses of 'zero food miles' products.
Next, journey towards the enchanting San Gimignano, a world-renowned walled town perched on a hilltop.
