To było bardzo dobre doświadczenie, transport był doskonały. Robert był doskonałym przewodnikiem, bardzo przyjaznym, powiedział nam nawet wiele informacji o miejscach, przez które przechodziliśmy, wszystko było bardzo dobrze zorganizowane i zsynchronizowane. Byłoby miło spędzić więcej czasu w Windsorze, ponieważ jest tego wart, ale zrozumiałe jest, że czasy są zgodne z rozwojem dnia, polecam!

Rezerwacja za pośrednictwem Headout była w większości łatwa, z wyjątkiem sytuacji, w których wystąpiły usterki przy ponownym logowaniu. Myślę, że największym problemem było to, że nie byłem pewien, czy Headout jest prawdziwy, czy to oszustwo. Okazało się, że tak. Otrzymanie potwierdzenia i biletów było łatwe. Wycieczka przez EvanEvans była świetna.... Bardzo podobał mi się nasz przewodnik (Peter) i nasz kierowca autobusu (Lucien). Spędziliśmy wspaniały czas.

Everything was good. But since we are senior citizens it would have been better that we did all the three one day each, as so much of walking is involved we became very tired.

A walk through the past

Visit one of the most bizarre and mysterious places in the world, Stonehenge. Discover plenty of the hidden secrets of the monument and get insights into the astronomical relationship of Stonehenge with the stars as well as its importance as a burial site. Admire the massive stones that create one of the oldest burial places in the world, before heading to the Stonehenge Exhibition Centre which houses a vast collection of artifacts and other archaeological findings from the nearby area. Understand how the ancients lived as you explore the Neolithic village houses and the artifacts including pottery and jewelry.

Experiencing the rich history of the UK

Next, go to the town of Windsor and take your time strolling down the alleys, taking in the sights of the Windsor Great Park and the theater, before heading to Windsor Castle. Explore the historic Windsor Castle, a 1000-year-old home of the British monarchy. Stroll through the State Rooms, including the Ceremonial Rooms, the Historic Rooms, and the Semi-State Rooms, each ornately decorated, currently used for ceremonial functions by the royal family. Next up, visit St. George’s Chapel, the burial site for multiple royals, including Queen Elizabeth II. Don't miss Queen Mary's Dolls' House, where you can be a part of the centenary celebrations.

An educational field trip

You will also visit Oxford, one of the most famous university cities in the world. Enjoy an immersive guided tour and experience the famous Bridge of Sighs, Trinity College, the Ashmolean Museum, and The Sheldonian Theatre. Wander through the charming courtyards of the different colleges located in this university town. Harry Potter fans are in for a treat as several scenes from the movies were shot in this college.

Make sure to wear comfortable footwear as there is a moderate amount of walking involved.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind hot food & beverages, ice cream, and food with odor are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!
You will not be allowed to enter the Stonehenge Circle itself. This is due to the restoration attempts and the relative instability of the structure. Your Stonehenge tickets allow you to access about 10 meters of the monument.
Keep your camera tucked away – photography is strictly not allowed inside Windsor Castle.
Keep in mind large backpacks and pushchairs are not allowed inside the State Apartments. Pack wisely!
Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Accessibility

Not all coaches are wheelchair accessible, so please call or email before your tour date to confirm.
Stonehenge is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.
Your guide dogs are welcome at the venues.
Windsor Castle's Admission Centre provides an audio-descriptive tour for blind or partially-sighted visitors.

Additional information

Windsor Castle is closed to visitors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout 2024.
Being a functioning royal palace, Windsor Castle's schedule might be subject to unforeseen closures.
English Heritage and National Trust England members can enjoy free admission to Stonehenge.
The Semi-State Rooms are included in the visitor route during the winter months. Standard admission charges will apply. The Semi-State Rooms are not open on days when the State Apartments are closed.
St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays.
