Temple of Karnak
With an Egyptologist guide, who speaks the language of your choice, get a peek into the ancient secrets of the regal pharaohs of Egypt. Hop on a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Hurghada and head to your first stop for the day, the Temple of Karnak. It is a complex of ancient Egyptian temples and numerous structures, including the Great Temple of Amun, the Festival Temple of Tuthmosis III, the Temple of Ramses III, and the Hypostyle Hall with grand columns. Halt for lunch at a local restaurant before moving to the Valley of the Queens.
Valley of the Queens
Concealed in a Y-shaped ravine on the West Bank of the Nile, the Valley of the Queens is an ancient burial site for the wives of Pharaohs and their children from the 18th to 20th dynasties. It contains over 75 tombs, many of which have well-preserved paintings and inscriptions. Here you come across the most beautiful tomb, that of Queen Nefertari, the beloved queen of Ramses II. The tomb is lavish with a tunnel of golden detailed illustrations, ornate decorations, and a starry ceiling. Listen to your expert multilingual guide as reveals interesting stories from ancient times as you walk the grand shrine. Before heading for your hotel you visit The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who reigned from 1479 to 1458 BC, and The Colossi of Memnon, with two mammoth sandstone statues built during the 18th Dynasty of Egypt.
