Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens in Palermo are a top attraction in this coastal city. They are one of Italy's oldest and still active gardens like it. Today, the garden proudly has a collection of over 250,000 plant specimens from different places, kept in a herbarium. With this ticket, skip the line for quick entry and explore tall giant bamboo, papaya trees, and ancient cotton trees inside. The garden is like an open-air museum with many beautiful areas to explore, including a gymnasium, a winter garden, and a room called tineo where you can see nature's beauty up close.
As you explore, you'll come across a wide variety of plant species. Some of them are so unique that you can usually only find them in deserts or tropical jungles.
Antonino Salinas Archaeological Museum
Discover Sicily's oldest museum, which houses an array of artifacts spanning from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. The museum's standout feature is its impressive collection of metopes from the Selinunte Temples, renowned as some of Greece's most exceptional sculptures. You can also see special items given by the Bourbon Kings from Torre del Greco and relics from Pompeii, making the museum's collection even more interesting.
