Set in the magnificently picturesque Mt Aspiring National Park, enjoy a fully-guided tour of this UNESCO-listed site known for its rugged wilderness, mountains, and river valleys.
Local guides will ensure that you are armed with everything you should possibly know about the Lord of the Rings films and filming and behind-the-scenes information. These are people who were actually there when the director, Peter Jackson, cast almost 300 locals as murderous Orcs. Listen to other such secrets as you explore the flora and fauna of this tranquil national park. Soak up the breathtaking beauty of beech forests, winding rivers, and glacier-carved valleys which literally formed the base of the filming locations of the elven Lothlorien Forest, The Misty Mountains, Saruman’s Isengard, Amon Hen, and more.

- Please dress suitable for the weather as this tour runs in all weather conditions, as long as it’s safe. Wear sensible walking shoes too.
- Bring along a camera, water bottle, a jacket, and sunglasses.
- The vehicles are easily accessible and views can be enjoyed from the vehicle if guests are unable to get out.
- Walking on the tour is of medium intensity.
