Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Guided Tour with St. Peter’s Basilica Dome Climb

It's not a straightforward area to navigate given the crowds and size, but our guide got us to all the best parts with ease while still pointing out interesting details and talking us through the history.

Paolo was an amazing tour guide with exceptional knowledge of the Vatican and its history. There is so much to see and experience. We climbed the Duomo and took photos from the top. Then we viewed the interior section and museum.

Extremely well organised tour. Our guide Chiara was excellent and made the time fly by with her insights to the location and artworks and with her brilliant banter with the group. Worth every penny - would highly recommend it!

Georgia the guide was excellent. We couldn't climb the dome because a lady died ahead of us, but not your fault. But we were supposed to get a refund for the dome portion. The museums were so crowded it was a joke, never again. Stood outside looking at a diagram of Sistine Chapel instead of going through exhibits.

Great tour overall! Note that it takes about 2 hours to make it to the top of the dome. This tour only had time to do the map room and the Sistine Chapel. Had no time for the Raphael Rooms.

We had the best tour with our tour guide especially since it was raining very heavy! She was amazing! She managed to fit all parts of the tour in and explained things in great detail! Definitely recommend the tour!

I think the tour is too long. Considering the fact that you can't skip the line to Vatican. It is very hard to judge how much time it will take. It felt like we spent all day queuing and barely saw anything. Guid kept telling that it was exceptionally busy day in Vatican. This is my second time visiting and it was eaqualy busy. We spent 2hr before we were able to see anything we paid for. There was no option to take bathroom break due to the question and amount of people. We were able to use bathroom after 4hr. I think there should be a quick coffee break counted in for as well. Everyone was too tired and had no interest to listen to the guide. We supposed to see Vatican museum, but saw only small part. Just the route to Sistine chapel. Spent a lot of money for this you're and feel like I haven't seen much at all. Had to rush everywhere and was not able to enjoy the view. Disappointing and would not recommend it anyone else.

Ciara was amazing, very informative and absolutely hilarious. 5 hrs is a long tour and she really kept our interest and our spirits up. The tour made it so much easier to navigate the chaos - so may people, so many people queues, access points, tickets, toilets , etc

Mariana our guide was very good! My favourite part of the tour was the Basilica as it looked really grand and majestic, but generally it was all very good. There was a bit of a queue to enter the climbing of the dome area but it was ok, would have been better if that was done at the first part of the trip as originally scheduled as it would be less hot.

The entire tour was awesome. Being a catholic it was a treat for our group to visit Vatican. To be in the Sistine chapel and see the works of Michael Angelo, to visit the magnificent St Peter's Basilica. Thank you to Maximo, very knowledgeable and experienced guide, very funny too. Our tour guide Massimo was fantastic!! We've been on a few other guided tours and he outshined all of them. He was very entertaining and personable and gave educating information without overloading us with information! Would highly recommend, especially if you're lucky enough to get Massimo as your guide!

The tour was varied and included everything of interest. Sabrina, our tour guide, was very nice with comprehensive information.

It was great all round! Sabrina is a very good guide and has a very endearing approach. She made the tour even better. The cathedral, the museums are of course the best. I would have liked it if Sabrina had accompanied us into the Sistine Chapel but that's okay. It was a well managed tour.

Our guide Ella was very knowledgeable and did a great job at sharing the little secrets that few would know about. There was a minor ticketing issue at the museum with an incorrect set being swapped in but the company was able to sort it out and had us back on track within 30 minutes. Audio guide was helpful through the entire time to keep focus.

Our tour guide was Chiara was incredible. We've done many tours in Italy and Chiara made this one our favorite and our experience at the Vatican very memorable. I would personally request to have her as my tour guide again, she makes information fun to learn and interesting. So lucky we had her as our tour guide for this 5hr tour!

This was an amazing experience, made all the better by our guide who was extremely funny and Knowledgeable about everything we saw around us. Chiara was the name of our guide, and I honestly think that this tour would not have been as fun without her. She interacted with everyone in the tour, made us all laugh, remembered all our names, and got us infront of another group of 100 people so that we could see St Peters witout interruption. Me and my partner had a great time. 5 Stars!!!!

Going up the dome of St Peter's must not be missed. One of the best ways to view the whole of Rome. Would advise not going in peak season. There were just too many people the whole time. It was also a bit pressured for time to squeeze everything in. Our guide - Ella was brilliant.
