Pompeii Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

We had a great guide but the management kept adding more people to our group . We actually had to wait to ent the site because of issues from the other group members .

Alfonso was our guide and he was excellent - charming, funny and knowledgeable. He had very good English and switched to French when he heard some other tourists asking questions. We visited the site on an overcast day in February and it was uncrowded and easy to see everything. I can imagine that in summer it would be very crowded and difficult to get around, and that a skip-the-line ticket would be well worth the money. Pompeii was a bucket list item for me and I am so glad we went - it was fascinating. I was happy with the price of this tour as other operators had quoted us absolutely ridiculous prices - we ended up travelling by local train from Sorrento and even with the skip the line surcharge (which as it turns out we didn't really need on the day), this was a very reasonably priced option.

I had a great time on the tour to Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi. Our guide was excellent, everything ran smoothly, and I’d highly recommend it. I especially loved the short boat journey from Amalfi—it was an optional extra but absolutely worth it. The only downside was that my friend’s booking didn’t go through due to a credit card issue, which took a while to resolve. Otherwise, a fantastic experience!

This was my husband's and my 3rd visit and our 2 hr tour didnt include anything we had ever seen before and I really appreciated her wealth of knowledge. She also had a great sense of humor. We had our 10 year old grandson with us and our guide was so patient in answering all of his questions.

Perfectly organized. Our guide-archaeologist, Rafael, is very good and did not stop giving us explanations and answering all our questions. It was an enjoyable and very interesting visit. He also advised us on how to continue the visit once the tour was over. Thank you very much.

First of all, we chose the perfect time of year to visit-February. The weather was beautiful and no long lines or crowds. But most of all, our guide, SAso, was wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable and a great story teller. He kept us fascinated. Our experience would not have been as good without him. Thank you Saso!

Stunning drive, with the ability to hold your attention, prepared and engaging. Beautiful places, and well maintained.

What could have been the worst, became the best! We opted to travel from Rome by train. Between the train running late, and us getting off at a wrong stop, we were very late. These folks handled it like champs. We received inquiries by text and they kindly managed to include us into another group upon our arrival. I'm sure it being winter with less visitors helped. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and quite thorough. We enjoyed our tour.

I liked: The punctuality and organization of the visit. I didn't like: To know that the ticket was 4'50€ cheaper at the ticket office.

Beautiful to walk around, the guided tour lasted two hours but Pompeii deserves much more and finally we walked around for another two hours

Very pleasant guided tour, our guide, Ciro, took us to visit the most significant places in the excavations of Pompeii explaining the history and living habits of the ancient inhabitants, also gave us valuable suggestions on how to complete the visit independently (the guided tour lasts about 2 hours, then you can visit the rest of the area which is vast). The area is well-maintained and equipped with facilities. Comfortable clothing and shoes required.

Pompeii is truly fascinating and it would take several days to visit it all! The archaeological guide who accompanied us, was very comprehensive and also gave us useful directions to continue on our own.

We booked the mini group of 12 people. Our guide Ms. Diana great . Thank you ! We will definitely come back because it is not enough to visit the whole city of Pompeii in 2 hours. Although there were a lot of people we never had queues x visit the various most beli points. Thanks again !

We did the tour with Umberto and he did a great job, very clear explanations and with good humor. The guided tour lasts two hours but there are still interesting places to visit and listen to the guide's explanations, such as the circus or the lupanar.

The visit to the excavations of Pompeii was an unforgettable experience, thanks to a very knowledgeable guide who led us along the most important buildings taking us to the life of that time with very interesting trivia and anecdotes. Pompeii is located on high ground with picturesque and heavenly views. Experience to be absolutely repeated!!!

I recommend this experience. Already the wonderful place feels like we are standing with our feet in the history books we studied so much ..then very knowledgeable and entertaining guide .
