Van Gogh Museum Small Group Guided Tour

Our guide Isabelle was superb; very committed + she introduced us to the Jewish quarter + she passed on more general information about life in the Netherlands: bicycles, boat to live...::

This tour fulfilled my dream of seeing that many Van Gogh paintings in one place.The tour guide was wonderful! Lots of historical information about Vincent and his life and times. He also mentioned something I'd never noticed or heard mentioned before. Looking at the Iris painting, he noted the broken stem of flowers and said that even in his most beautiful paintings, Vincent often included something tragic. I'll be looking with a new perspective now. On the down side, my group, along with six others signed up for the tour, waited at the meeting place for 40 mintues until just before 10AM, we decided to go to the museum doors to ask about our guide. When we arrived, there was our guide with a green sign and another group of people. You guys really need to get together on your published meeting place instructions. It was very stressful; we could have missed out on this wonderful experience.
