Vienna City Card: Unlimited Public Transport & Discounts

Its a great thing to have e-ticket for the whole day. I commuted mainly by trams and u-bahn. Spent the money once and didn't care about the rest of the day. It's worth adding transfer from the airport as an additional feature for several euros.

The fact that you don't have to worry about tickets and also have other benefits.

Accessible museums with discounts. Means included in the price. Ease of travel. Wonderful Vienna

The lines we used had short timetables, even in the evening. We traveled by subway, suburban train and streetcar (Bim, as they say in Vienna).

We used the 72-hour Vienna City Card for the whole family (children 12+15 free!) and it all worked wonderfully!

I was unable to download my ticket from the website but managed to copy and paste the QR code onto my phoine and hoped it would work. As no one ever asked to see my pass I was successful in using public transportation, but never knew if an inspector would ask for proof and fine me.

I had purchased the card primarily so I wouldn't have to worry about public transportation tickets, but it also proved useful for reading tips and discovering beautiful places.

It was good, but it was kind of difficult to book online and the discount for museum admission was not that big or the cityticket was not recognized

It was a bit complicated to install the public transport card. Actually, I should have booked directly via Wiener Verkehrsbetriebe, on whose system I was finally able to upload the 72 ticket. I liked being able to take the Standard out of my pocket at the lamppost in exchange for a payment to the cashier of my choice. I liked the attitude expressed in the interview by the mayor of Vienna about the imminent takeover by the Kickl FPÖ. Vienna, in fact the whole of Austria, must retain its cosmopolitan social climate and freedom of discourse. A radical right-wing government that betrays the idea of European cooperation and integration endangers the well-being of Vienna and Austria and is not worthy of this country. May Vienna maintain its magic.

It is very convenient to travel for free on public transport during the valid times and to get discounts at the museums!

Before installing the application and using it, I found all the information I needed and very clear. The application is very easy to use and intuitive. It is an extremely useful product for tourists.

With the Vienna City Card, we used all public transport free of charge. The high frequency of journeys makes getting around Vienna a pleasure. We were also able to get discounts on admission to all the attractions we visited. So the card is definitely worth it!

Liked: the uncomplicated travel on public transport. Restriction: The discounts at the museum ticket offices didn't work for me, because as a senior citizen I usually get even cheaper fares than with the City Card. RG

I was able to use those tickets easily and I used all public transportation so I visited all historical places in Vienna.

Being able to get on and off subways and buses at will. The reductions due to age proved to be more attractive than the reduction offered by City Card

Used various discounts and was also able to make good use of the excellent public network without having to deal with a vending machine. Not a single check was made.
