Our visit to Villa d'Este and its fabulous gardens was great. I liked that we could choose a different day to attend up to about 30 days forward. I needed to use the ticket a day prior to my reservation and this is a NO change, NO refund (which is OK). We were able to change our transportation to use the reserved ticket as stated. The villa self tour was relaxing and not rushed. The gardens, of course, were outstanding and we had perfect weather. Headout was easy to reserve our tickets and I printed out our QR sheets; but since I forgot those when we left the U.S., I was happy that I could go back into the website and put the information on my phone. We also took the bus 1.5E to/from Villa Adrianna (Hadrian's villa complex). That, too, was easy and the bus stopped right in front of the ticket office. My QR codes worked well and the staff there was helpful and friendly. This self tour was also awesome and peaceful. What a complex.

Although not a museum, the visit to Villa D'Este was magnificent, beautiful gardens and waterworks, even arriving earlier than booked the staff was very helpful in letting us enjoy it at our pleasure. Great experience!

The entry process to these unique and precious historical sites was easy and worry-free with the Headout advance tickets. To be able to visually experience the inforgettable water fountains of Villa d'Este and the breathtaking ancient ruins of Hadrian's Villa more than justify the 26 Euro price of entry for a 3-day pass. Not to be missed if you visit Rome!

I didn't visit any museums, only Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este, which were really outstanding. Everything went well even for the entrances, there were no people.

It's not so much the ticket that's interesting as the time of our visit.
In September, there's hardly anyone around and we had almost all the sites to ourselves :o)
And the single ticket for all 3 sites is really practical.
I recommend taking the audioguides offered at each site for 4€ (discounted with the entrance ticket ;o)), it's a real plus for discovering their history.

Although, we enjoyed the gardens, we were disappointed in the amount of renovation going on. Many things that we saw 15 years ago were not operating or overgrown. We realize renovation is always an ongoing process, so we do understand it needs to be done. The lack of directional signs and information on where to park were limited we spent a good 40 minutes trying to locate the gardens and once we did found it difficult to find parking. One suggestion might be to include information on where to park and a better GPS locator in the information you send out. We used the GPS provided and it led us to a nearby neighborhood not to the gardens. Overall, enjoyed ourselves but it was sad to see so many of the fountains under renovation or not working.

I spent 8 weeks in Rome and had some great days and nights here, but one I will remember probably forever was yesterday in Tivoli. Not only is the city lovely and charming and worth a visit itself, there are also almost no other tourists. We visited the sanctuary of Hercules Victor alone. There were no other people on the sight. The Villa d'Este has one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen and if you are interested in roman history Villa Adriana will leave you stunning. It's incredibly impressive to stroll through the ruins. Even at the Villa Adriana, which is actually like a little city itself, there were no queues and not more like ten other visitors, which made it even better. Just don't miss it! If you are physically capable, don't miss the Parco Gregoriano with the second largest waterfall of Italy, its caves and beautiful views. We were very sad returning to Rome in the evening, although we love Rome.

Incredible Experience at Villa d'Este Thanks to Headout! 🌟
Our visit to Villa d'Este was amazing, made even more perfect by the skip-the-line tickets purchased on Headout! From the moment of booking to the visit, everything was flawless and allowed us to have a magical experience without any hiccups.
Booking tickets on Headout was super easy and super fast. In just a few clicks, we received our e-tickets directly via email, which allowed us to avoid long lines at the entrance and enter directly into the wonderful gardens and magnificent rooms of Villa d'Este.
Villa d'Este is a true jewel of the Renaissance, with its beautiful terraced gardens, enchanting fountains and breathtaking architecture. Every nook and cranny of the villa and its gardens is a continuous discovery, with water features, classical statues, and breathtaking panoramic views. Without having to wait in line, we were able to fully enjoy all that this wonderful villa has to offer.
The convenience and efficiency of the Headout service really enhanced our experience.
We highly recommend that anyone who wants to visit Villa d'Este purchase skip-the-line tickets on Headout. It was one of the best decisions of our trip, allowing us to spend more time exploring and admiring this historic wonder without any stress.

We really enjoyed the garden and the many fountains. We're glad we planned this day on our own (train + bus) rather than via an agency. This way, we were able to enjoy the day more cheaply and with no time limit.

From the moment I set foot in the historical wonder that is Villa d'Este in Tivoli, I was swept away into what felt like an entirely different world, one that elegantly combines the grandeur of Renaissance architecture with the serene beauty of nature.
We didn't wait a single minute when we got to the Villa. We just showed them our tickets and they let us in directly. They even gave us a map to help us get around.

The gardens were magnificent with the many water falls, fountains and pools. Also the playing of the water powered organ is a must see! No problems with getting tickets!

Tivoli's Villa D'Este was just amazing! My daughter and I decided to go to Tivoli the evening before we went. I was looking for something outside of Rome (but not too far) that would not cost too much or require a tour guide. This fit those requirements and so much more. Tivoli itself is a beautiful town surrounded by hills and greenery. The inside of the Villa D'Este was beautiful with rich history (that we only partly took in by reading the signage). If I were to do it again, I would have done the audio tour. The outside, however, was simply amazing! The fountains, sculptures, and overall design just kept surprising me in the best ways. It was delightful!
I would highly recommend going to Tivoli and the Villa D'Este if you are visiting Rome!

The size the scale, the grandeur of hadrian's villa left us speechless. It was truly awesome. The villa D'ESTe was very nice but didn't impress as Hadrian's villa did.

The grounds and history are amazing. Unfortunately, the fountains were not operating, so that was disappointing. They were selling tickets there for a reduced price (12.50) but we had already paid full price and were unable to cancel them by the time we found out.

The visit to the Villa d'Est was really impeccable and well managed, and the audio guide option was very well thought out. On the other hand, the visit to the Temple of Hercules museum, which was in fact closed even though we had paid a full-price ticket, was inexplicable and not really acceptable, especially at this price. In our opinion, the connections between the Temple of Hercules and the Villa d'Est should be improved, as the two are easy to get to, but it's a big problem to get to the Villa Adriana if you don't have a car.
