Villa d’Este Skip-the-Line Tickets

Tivoli's Villa D'Este was just amazing! My daughter and I decided to go to Tivoli the evening before we went. I was looking for something outside of Rome (but not too far) that would not cost too much or require a tour guide. This fit those requirements and so much more. Tivoli itself is a beautiful town surrounded by hills and greenery. The inside of the Villa D'Este was beautiful with rich history (that we only partly took in by reading the signage). If I were to do it again, I would have done the audio tour. The outside, however, was simply amazing! The fountains, sculptures, and overall design just kept surprising me in the best ways. It was delightful! I would highly recommend going to Tivoli and the Villa D'Este if you are visiting Rome!

Although not a museum, the visit to Villa D'Este was magnificent, beautiful gardens and waterworks, even arriving earlier than booked the staff was very helpful in letting us enjoy it at our pleasure. Great experience!

Although, we enjoyed the gardens, we were disappointed in the amount of renovation going on. Many things that we saw 15 years ago were not operating or overgrown. We realize renovation is always an ongoing process, so we do understand it needs to be done. The lack of directional signs and information on where to park were limited we spent a good 40 minutes trying to locate the gardens and once we did found it difficult to find parking. One suggestion might be to include information on where to park and a better GPS locator in the information you send out. We used the GPS provided and it led us to a nearby neighborhood not to the gardens. Overall, enjoyed ourselves but it was sad to see so many of the fountains under renovation or not working.

We really enjoyed the garden and the many fountains. We're glad we planned this day on our own (train + bus) rather than via an agency. This way, we were able to enjoy the day more cheaply and with no time limit.

The gardens were magnificent with the many water falls, fountains and pools. Also the playing of the water powered organ is a must see! No problems with getting tickets!
