Uffizi Tour +Accademia Tour

Our guide was fantastic. The context and color she added to our tour was incredibly helpful for our entire Italy trip. It layed a great informational foundation and understanding of some of the Renaissance greats.

Another great tour. Our guide was amazing unfortunately had forgotten her name but she was originally from Sicily and studied ancient history. A very small intimate group that consisted of my boyfriend and I and, a mother and daughter we had met on an earlier tour to the Academia that same day. I personally liked the very small group, as it allowed for a quick start and swift entry into the museum. Our guide was very knowledgable and there was plenty of time and room for questions that were well answered. Paintings discussed in detail as well as historical context to the time period and the artist behind them. A well timed tour that left us feeling like we had covered the important parts, and were free to do as we pleased and revisit areas we wanted to see again, at the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

Our guide Lori was absolutely amazing during this tour. She was enthusiastic and engaging. Her knowledge, detailed but not overwhelming. It was great to listen along to a story that provided context not only to the artwork/pieces on display, but also Michaelangelo personally and the kind of person he was, as well as a quick revision of Florence's history and other families/artists like the Medicis in an interesting way with fun facts. A well executed tour, timed well through the rooms and with plenty of time to analyse Michaelangelo's David up close and in detail. Highly recommended.

There was an unexpected change and my tour time was moved up, i was frustrated and the staff gave me a great plan so that i can see as much of the attractions as possible for the few hours i was staying in Florence. Our guide was such a great one. Her English (American accent) was very easy to understand, she was energetic and engaging. She talked for 90 minutes straight and i listened very carefully for 90 minutes straight. I couldn't stop listening. The information i got, mix of religion, history, economy and art was outstanding. Analyzing the art was exactly to my taste. Definitely recommend!

It really was such a great tour. I loved that it wasn't too long but fully packed rough inforntion about not only the David but the whole time period that made the experince of seeing it more satisfying. The guide was friendly and so open to questions a well as very knowledgeable.

Marie was a wonderful guide. She was so knowledgeable about all aspects of the museum. We learned some interesting facts about mideveal vs renaissance artworks, the dress and customs of ancient Florence, beautiful old musical instruments and especially learned about Michaelangelo's David. It was a fabulous tour. We highly recommend Marie.

Olga our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made our tour very interesting and amusing. She did not rush us during the tour and gave us lots of time to view the works of art. She obviously has a passion for what she does.

Well organized tour with our guide Olga. Highly recommend taking the 1 hour tour to learn more about Michelangelo and his back story of his work. Nice museum to visit during your trip in Florence.

To look on all of the masterpieces the Uffizi has to offer is the experience of a lifetime. To look on all of the masterpieces the Uffizi has to offer WITH a guide who understands the history of each piece, knows the finite details of each artist's history, and speaks with very obvious passion about every work is absolutely PRICELESS! Paulina was simply outstanding. Our entire family is so appreciative of everything she shared with us and taught us.

We were a party of six and wanted to see the museum with a guide to help us make the most of our visit. The office for the tour was easy to find and Laurie could not have been any more warm and gracious when she greeted us on our arrival. She fitted us with earpieces which worked very well in the noisy street as well as inside the museum. We waited in line at the museum entrance for about five minutes until our entry time, and then she led us inside and proceeded to spin captivating stories about the history of Florence, the titanic efforts to adorn the Duomo with statuary in the 15th and 16th centuries, and most all, Michelangelo's creative brilliance. Laurie made the museum come alive for us and we would not have appreciated the paintings and especially the magnificent DAVID without her expertise and seamless dialogue. It was a magical lesson in art history and in the history, culture, politics, and economics of this fabulous city. By the way, the exhibit of Renaissance musical instruments, including several Stradivarius violins and cellos, along with an early (the first, perhaps?) pianoforte ALONE is worth the price of admission for music lovers!

David was extremely knowledgeable and shared his knowledge with enthusiasm, clarity and humor. The tour went by so quickly because he was so interesting in telling us all kinds of things about the paintings, the artists, the Medici family and other tidbits that really brought the Uffizzi Gallery to life. I can't wait to use David to explore some of Florence's other treasures!

Buying the ticket was easy and the joining instructions were clear. Our Vox sets worked and the guide was very good She was well informed and clearly loved her subject.

The art was beautiful and it was an incredible experience to see Michaelangeo's David! It was very easy to get tickets online. Instructions to the meeting place for the tour were very easy to follow. Mary was an exceptional tour guide! The tour was incredibly informative and enjoyable. You could tell she enjoys what she does. We would have not gotten as much out of the visit without Mary's insite. Skipping the line was well worth the cost of the tour alone as it was very crowed that morning.

Great tour of the Michael angelo sculptures including the David. Very informative and clear guide in Spanish. She was also very helpful as she handled getting a wheelchair and early access for my disabled father. 100% recommend.
