Waitomo Glowworm Caves Guided Tour

Ticketing was super simple and, when we arrived, everything went as smoothly! We loved our guide, T, and the easy going, generous and respectful way he taught us about the caves and the glowworms.

This was probably our favourite activity on our Tauranga - Rotoroa - Auckland trip. The caves were just fabulous and we'll be back to explore the other caves. We have done the glowworm tour and we loved our guide and the entire experience!

Our guide Kaiser was excellent as he led us through the Ruakuri cave system which was stellar and I would recommend the tour through these absolutely amazing caves. Well worth the money.

It was a one-of-a-kind tour. Ashley was very knowledgeable and funny! It was great to explore the caves with a small group of adventure lovers. And Ashley took such great pictures of us. I made friends and saw breathtaking glowworm caves, what more could you I ask for? I really made memories that will last for a lifetime. I highly recommend.

I exited to blue lighting from grow worms and fossil. I enjoyed cave tour and guide man's nice joke. It's so easy to get a ticket.

Our tour guide Garf was absolutly lovely and told us so many amazing things. He encouraged us to ask questions and was happy to answere them as well. On top of that we had the luck to be only two people so we really could take our time!

The whole experience was incredibly well organised and structured. The lass serving at the Cafe was incredibly helpful and our tour guide Big T was fabulous. A stunning experience.

Our tour guide Webarakato- not sure how to spell his name but his historical and indigenous knowledge was very much interesting AND the ticket lady was lovely as we had booked for an hour and half session at 11:30 but she squeezed us in for the 11am tour so all in all a very successful and memorable day !

The cave was beautiful, the glow worms were fascinating and the guide was friendly, informative and professional. Glad we booked online.

The guide was very knowledgeable, but low key which made the tour relaxing and very enjoyable. It would have been helpful if you had made it clear when we bought the tickets where we needed to go. We first went to the Waitomo Caves because we didn't we had to go a separate location.

Small tour size, awesome cave, awesome guides. The guide knew so much, was so friendly, and really enjoyed taking us through the cave.

Our Waitomo Caves guide was knowledgeable, kind and catering to the group. She even sang in the caves cathedral as it was Anzac Day. She sang a moving song sung to the Māori battalion before leaving our shores. Stephen, our guide for the Kuakuri Cave was awesome. He knew the cave extremely well, his knowledge was excellent enhancing our trip experience. His obvious cave experience was reassuring too. Highly recommend.

We had the loveliest tour guide show us through the caves and glowworm experience. He was very informative, lots of fun and I it was very interesting. I would recommend this tour for all age groups it's easily accessible and although being slightly clastaphobic I did not feel it at all on this tour, so go for it people

The environment was clean and respectful of the nature, the guide was funny and the fact that he was Maori was so honorable.

The overall experience was amazing. Well curated tour.
