2-Hour Milford Sound Cruise

The cruise at Milford sound was amazing. The crew was very helpful and caring onboard. We loved having the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate and the sandwiches we bought were delicious. The scenery is spectacular and our captain was so funny and informative. We loved the cruise!

It was easy to book the cruise and no issues at all. The weather played up so couldn't really experience milford sound but was definitely worth it.

Limited access is about parking. Surprise to see a parking ticket. Otherwise everything was fine. Thanks for providing tea/coffee in the cruise

Easy to buy tickets for the cruise online; easy to redeem tickets at Milford Sound terminal; friendly staff at ticket counter; boat staff friendly and helpful; very impressive scenery during the cruise; good commentary from the captain; enjoyed his frequent digs at Australians (we are Australians) - was a good humoured bit of fun.

I think by traveling 8 hours from and return to Queenstown, Milford Sounds should be much more amesome than what we had experienced. Fortunately the weather on the day was real good, otherwise the trip will be just a alright spot to visit. The scenery on the road from Te Anau was nice so it worth driving all the way to Milford Sounds, otherwise I will not recommend friends to go.

Fantastic experience and fortunate to see a lot of cascade waterfall since it was raining during the activity. Check in process was very quick, straightforward. The experience with Pure Milford also fantastic, really have an unforgetable moment.

Nice boat, friendly staff. Took us out even though weather was wild and they easily could have cancelled. Glad we got to experience it in the rain

Milford Sound itself the Service on the charter and the ease with how everything flowed so well from online booking payments to checking in to onboard service. Wonderful experience.

Humor of the driver, liked the pace and detail. Once in a lifetime experience, worth it even for the drive through the forest, countryside and tunnel.

The whole experience was great. Checkin was smooth & hassel free. Very friendly, helpful staff. Complimentry hot drink was very welcome. Pie was the best I've ever had.

A great cruise with a great crew. There are several cruises you can choose from. From the boats I saw in the harbor, your choice is a much larger and crowded ship, and a smaller, much older vessal. The Pure Milford cruise line, and the Gem of the Sound is right in the middle. It seemed to me to be the most modern and newest of the ships in the harbor and although there were quite a few people on the ship, it wasn't crowded. There was plenty of room on both decks to take pictures and room inside the ship along with free hot coffee, as well as some other refreshements you could purchase. The crew was friendly and the cruise overall was well managed and organized. The boat was modern and relatively new, and the captain did a great job of narrating the journey of about 2 hours. Overall I would recommend this cruise, although I did not take the others, but in my observations, I think I lucked out on the choice.

The beauty of Milford Sound was the thing that I loved the most about the experience. The complimentary hot beverages made bearing the strong breeze a bit easy. The place is too far from Queenstown. It's an 7 hour return drive for a 2 hour cruise. That's the only drawback.

The tour departed on time and returned about 1:45 later. More than enough time on the water. Guide comments were informative. We had nice weather after rains the night before so plenty of water coming off the cliffs but not what you'd see on a rainy day.

Ticketing/booking easy online. Good sized boat with great viewing access inside and out. Fun & interesting commentary, friendly staff. Scenery spectacular and the drive there was also very scenic, a must do visit.

The ticket team was efficient and we were on board in a moment. Boat had a major rework, looking brand new and two Yanmar diesel motors running well. On board before setting off, we had a complementary coffee. After moving to the top viewing deck, the captain set off and we listened to the commentary. We turned back after reaching the ocean. Total trip was just 45 minutes. Thanks to the team.

We were really lucky to have beautiful weather on the day we went to Milford Sound. The 2 hour boat trip was great. Ample time to get to to the entrance of the Sound. The commentary was excellent. The headout app is easy to use but the lack of WiFi made it unusable. Not a problem though, at check-in they had a list of bookings which was enough to be issued with boarding passes. No hesitation in recommending this trip.
