City Sightseeing: Edinburgh Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour

It was so easy to book online and redeem paper ticket with the bus driver who was very nice and helpful. Really liked the commentary using free headphones when you first get on. A great way to see the city!

We did enjoy most of all the sites we visited and also the punctuality of coaches at every site we hop on. The ticketing experience was excellent

Great way to see the city on our first day in Scotland. We enjoyed the narration explaining a bit of the history as well as information about the location. The stops are really convenient and the option to upgrade to other bus routes is great.

The route and the commentary were good and informative, we enjoyed it and saw parts of the corner wouldn't otherwise have reached. It was a bit alarming to be told the bus was full when it reached our stop, we weren't thrilled at the prospect of having to wait another 30 minutes and hope that there was space on the next one. Thankfully some seats were available but not everyone could get on. Maybe the winter service needs to be more frequent or you restrict ticket sales when the buses are that busy.

The tour was good but the online booking rigmarole and the interminable advertising emails was dire. I wouldn't touch this site again with a very long bargepole.

It was so easy to book our tickets and I took advantage of the free child ticket with a paying adult. The hop on hop off staff were easily spotted outside the train station and we just showed them the QR code on the app and were issued out tickets immediately. The staff member explained to us about the 3 types of bus tours and gave us the option to add the other 2 tours on if we wanted. There was no pressure to purchase them and we politely declined. Great service from everyone involved.

Did it on line but when we went to get on bus it was not recognised, so we then had to go to an office to get it sorted which meant we lost the Green bus ( English only ) and had to wait for 10 minutes or hey ho that's life Enjoyed the trip did not get off

Bus driver was patient and helpful. We ended up visiting the museum which we would not have known about had we not taken the bus.a great way to explore the city

The detailed information from the headphones was key to enjoying the experience so much The driver taking there time doing the tour so I could take everything in and take photos when I wanted. I would suggest better pin points on the maps of where people can get the tickets for the tour

Easy to find, passed the best locations, very nice and friendly drivery and staff. Great experience. Will do that again next time we're in Edinburgh.

Route was OK but driver did not stop for main photo opportunities when they arose, eg Holyrood Palace, views were snatched for other locations but insufficient to take them in.
