Belém Tower Tickets with Audio Guide

The line up was very long but worth it. We found the fortress fascinating! Be prepared to climb several flights of circular stairs, but it wasn't bad.

Belem Tower is one of the iconic Lisbon sites to visit. Regardless of how tickets are purchased, it is the same, except for the audio tour provided. It's a bit unfortunate that the audio is sometimes difficult to hear, with the echoing from the rock walls and chattering of other visitors.

I was wearing a billed cap and as a tall person, I failed to see the low entrance to one of the rooms on entry; I hit my head fairly hard on the low clearance rock. A sign might have helped, though it was still my fault. It hurt though.

The site is magnificent! However, we had to queue for over an hour even though we already had our tickets...

The Belém tower is a must see experience in Lisbon, it is beautiful. We took the tickets with audio and it is a bit of a hassle. Sometimes the playback would stop. It wouldn't load. I could not download the audio etc. I recommend taking a guide. Also note that we spent TWO HOURS waiting in line to get in. Horrible experience but it was worth it. If you take the audio, start listening in line (or when you are in the gardens) because at the beginning of the audio it explains the history of the tower and several statues in the gardens (before you get to the tower).

Although there was a 2 hour wait time, I waited! I liked seeing inside the Tower. I had the audio recording but there wasn't enough information prior to entering the tower to let me know that the audio portion had a significant amount of information about the tower that I should have listened to before entering the Tower so it was confusing for me as I was hoping to hear information about what I was looking at inside.

The Tower was closed with no sign saying when it would reopen so we never got the chance to go inside. They should have posted a sign and online post the hours . There was a sizable crowd waiting on Thursday after around 1pm to go into the Tower.

Audio guide just perfect! You feel like you're in the building and at the same time, you're guided by the voice and all you have to do is listen and observe. It's 6€ more expensive but only take one ticket and share headphones and listen on the same device.

The ticket doesn't cut the line at all; you have to queue for a very long time, in full sunlight (as they let people in piecemeal)! What's more, the wait isn't worth the visit: in the end, it's pretty empty inside and there's not much to see; the tower is prettier from the outside.

In general, the audioguide can only be downloaded by those who book the tickets. On the other hand, you buy the tickets with a specific time and you don't care, you have to stand in the same queue as everyone else, even if they have different schedules. Bad organization and high price for not respecting the schedules and conditions.

We loved the Belém Tower, but we were disappointed because we paid for headphones expecting to receive them, but we ended up paying and not getting them.

When we entered the tower there were not many people and it was a very interesting visit. The views of the Tagus are fantastic.

The structure was really cool and beautiful
