Our tour guide Federico was very informative, kind and patient with us as I had some mobility issues with long walks and stairs. He explained the Portuguese history pertaining to the Jeronimos Monastery in great detail making the tour very interesting. He was excellent and we highly recommend him.

Excellent experience. The guide was very nice and well informed and gave us very interesting details of the place. It allowed us to know the historical context of the monastery and other nearby places in Belem. The place is wonderful. Not to be missed by anyone visiting Lisbon.

It was not obvious who our guide was. Or where to meet him. We didn't meet until 9.15 despite arriving 8.45. Our ticket stressed we had to be there 9am but the monastery didn't open until 9.30. Sold as a 2 hour tour. It lasted an hour. Then found that our ticket didn't include the church A lot of money to visit a monastery. we liked our guide and he taught us other things about Portugal and its history though thought there would be a bit more about the monastery and the monks who lived there and why they left.

The small group with an excellent guide, Martin Duarte, was perfect for me. I wear hearing aids so cannot use the ear buds. Being able to walk next to our guide allowed me to hear all he said.

The guide Martin explained everything very well. We were really happy to have him as a guide. He took. His time for us and also went to the church next door with us to explain things there. Thank you Martin it was fantastic!

Skip the line definitely if you plan to go later on the day. We were the first group in at opening, the line for tickets already started. By the time we came out, the line was at least 1 kilometre long.
Only draw back is limited time allowed once inside the monastery. It was a bit rush.

Ricky was a brilliant tour guide, having a clear passion for history and storytelling! Something we discovered not every tour guide has!
I recommend Ricky to add context and texture to you Lisbon visit!

The guide gave a really detailed and interesting tour of the monastery. Well worth going on. Would recommend despite the very stressful beginning when we were looking for the yellow shirt guide . We approached him , he looked at his list and said we were not on it. Then we had 10minutes lof rushing around other guides who also said we were not on their tour either I then had a further look at email which I saw had cool tours on it. So I went back to the yellow shirt man as I had seen cool tours on his shirt and he looked again and said yes we were!! So we were not impressed with the way he had treated us .

Our guide Martin was great. He was funny and very knowledgeable. The skip the line part was well worth the extra money. 100% recommend as the lines to get in are massive and it was raining when we went. Beautiful place!

Ticketing/entrance /ease of meeting our guide worked great. Our guide was NOT very professional. We weren't pleased with the quality of information he provided. He chatted about errelevant things & often wasn't speaking into his microphone. We feel he needed some training & we're wishing we were in his colleagues group.

The tour was informative and Frédéric was very knowledgable but had to queue for a bit to go into the monastery and church. Didn't know that the tour included a walking tour to The Monument of Discoveries and Belem Tower, wished it was mentioned in the tour info, so that we didn't need to buy separate entrance tickets for the 2 places of interest. Nevertheless, a good half day tour. Thanks

Everything... firstly our guide Martin - he's was fantastic, his knowledge on the Monastery and the history of Portugal was amazing. Really helped get a true understanding of Lisbon.
Secondly- the skip the line tickets are worth every penny, we was the first to enter the Monastery and you just get that wow factor before everyone else quickly start to fill this beautiful place.
Communication we're great too, as I got a WhatsApp with all the information I need the day before.
Fantastic tour guide and tour.

The skip the line tour of Jerónimos Monastery in Belem Portugal was wonderful. Our Italian tour guide - Frédérique? was so knowledgeable and thorough with all areas of the monastery. We were not rushed and took our time from inside to out. The headsets to hear all the information worked well too. Book the 9 am time to not deal with any crowds or heat of the day.
Cool tours did not disappoint.
A must see UNESCO site!

Frédérico was a very good guide, interesting, smiling and pleasant. However, when you book a queue-cutting ticket for 9 a.m. and enter the Monastery at 11 a.m. and then queue again between the church and the Monastery, there's plenty to be dissatisfied about, even if you have to wait all the way to the Belem Tower and the Monument des découvertes. The organization is lamentable, but it's not worth the 40e per person, as it doesn't respect the notion of "queue-cutting" and the staff inside push you towards the exit. The architecture of the Monastery is splendid.

Very well organized visit, without queuing and with an outstanding guide, Bruno, who was able to explain with great professionalism and competence in particular the fascinating history of the monastery but also the monument to the discoveries and the tower of Belém. Bravissimo!

Bruno was an amazing tour guide. The level of detail he gave and taught us about portugals history was amazing. So much would have been missed without him that I'm not sure we would have enjoyed waiting in the line to just walk through. So glad we booked this!

A very pleasant visit to this monument, avoiding a long queue at the entrance and benefiting from a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. The visit left us with a better understanding of the period in which it was created, the important people who surround it, and the various monuments inside the monument itself.
All in all, a very satisfying visit in every respect.
