The Ajuda National Palace is a Portuguese national monument, located in the friguesia of Ajuda in the city of Lisbon. Its construction began in the late 18th century in order to replace the Real Barraca, a royal residence so called since it was built entirely of wood. Not far from the Belem neighborhood, the palace is definitely worth a visit.

The place is beautifull, but I assumed that for that price there would be more rooms to visit.

Both visits were very interesting. The palace was almost as beautiful as Versailles. The Royal Museum is exceptional!
