The pre-loaded audio was excellent and saved me around £8 extra buying earphones from the kiosk.
The description leading up to the tower was great to listen to whilst in the queue.
I would have liked the audio to tell me which window to look out of to see each of the historical sites below. Just saying "look north" meant nothing to me. So I had to walk around trying to find them.

The place is beautiful and interesting. There is little information on the site. In my case I researched the information on the site on my own.

The place itself is awesome / a testimony to what can be achieved for the good when you want to. Mind you it was only possible with the use of slaved and empirical evicts to confiscate land along the 400 or so miles of the aqueduct.
I did think the ticket price was too much, It would have been a fair price if there had been a small but scholarly museum display at the end with more information about the water's source in Thrace, where did the marble come from, how did the marble get to Istanbul?? Also information about the artworks / artist, materials, relevance to
cistern etc.

Fast and easy buying skip-the-line tickets.
No questions from staff checking qr on tickets. But it will be great if the system sent tickets on email.
Thanks a lot and greetings from Russia.

Taking the skip-the-line entrance was the best decision we could have made. We left the Topkapi Palace and headed towards the entrance of the Basilica Cistern. There was a tremendous queue. Fortunately, having taken the entrance without queues, we were able to go through the access to the right and went straight in. We got out of a queue of more than 60 people. As for the visit, it is a subway space worth seeing. The colored lights, the water and the columns that make up the Cistern create an overwhelming place. One of the best visits I made in Istanbul.

Head out tickets definitely helped to move in quicker...
The Cistern is superb. It does have stairs and no lift. Once down there it's all flat and imposing and amazing. Been to Istanbul 3 times not sure why I haven't been in here but it sure was worth it!!!

Visiting the Basilica Cistern is like stepping into a level of Assassin's Creed, where history and mystery meet in a subterranean labyrinth. Just as the game brings ancient cities to life, the cistern offers a palpable sense of Istanbul's storied past. It's a must-see for anyone who wants to dive deep into the city's heritage, much like a gamer loves to explore every corner of a meticulously crafted virtual world.

The location is absolutely fantastic; a must-see if you are in Istanbul. Experience of buying tickets online with Headout was most useful as we literally had "zero" queue..!!!

The Basilica sisturn was an amazing site to see. Imaging the labor that went into building this hundreds of years ago is mind boggling. I also really appreciated the modern light / art exhibits woven throughout the site. A must see.

Basilika Cistern was fascinating. The skip the line ticket was super, we really didn't have to go through the long queue.

When we booked the tickets we could skip the queue, but going at 9 am, we did not have that problem, besides being able to enjoy the views without many people and be there for a while walking around and discovering its history explained in the different levels of the tower.

We loved the visit because of the historical and artistic value of this civil work.
The explanatory signs were difficult to read, because the print was small and there was little light.

Easy booking and we did not have to queue at all, went straight in when we got there despite a huge queue to come in in the other line.
Really nice place to visit.

The cistern experience was absolutely superb and a bonus was the sculpture art installations set among the marble columns. A must visit when you visit Istanbul.

Interesting place, near the Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. We loved the lights and the columns. The skip-the-line tickets were really helpful. We entered very quickly.

Great experience in terms of preserving and nurturing the history. However the audio system on your mobile was unsatisfactory. The audio system got disconnected on few occasions.
Ideally, an audio system should be provided which more robust and user friendly. What happens for those visitors who are less familiar with technology, have no mobile phone are elderly and need help.
Then there was not toilets for thodecwho needed.

Me and my wife had a wonderful experience at Basilica Cistern Istanbul. It's our first time using Headout - everything was just perfect - from the reservation and information provided to the skipping the line. Highly recommended!
