Mount Vesuvius Skip-the-Line Tickets

Experience was incredible, caught a very sunny day and good weather. U gonna sweat a bit walking up but its worth it😅 Took spontaneously a shuttle bus from Pompeei and coming back we had a quick 10min stop to try various 'cellos, quite an experience! Thank you Peter and to your delicious lemons!

The view is extraordinary We received the tickets by e-mail and not WhatsApp a few days before the visit so that we could download them in case we didn't have a network on site. However, there's no indication of the distance between the parking lot and the park entrance. Paying shuttles are available, but it's perfectly possible to walk to the entrance in 20 minutes (which puts you in good shape for the climb up the volcano 🌋😉).

The weather was clear and we were able to see the Bay of Naples and Pompeii from the top of Mount Vesuvius. Tickets were e-mailed the day before, as planned.

The experience of climbing a very old almost dead volcano, was very nice. It was pritty easy to climb. We had hazy weather so the view was not perfect. What I didn't like was the unfriendly crew who checked the entrance tickets.

It was easy. No guessing where to go. No waiting for others in a group. Just show up at the right time and go at our own pace.

We weren't aware that we had to pay 6 euros for parking when we arrived. Also 3€ per person for the shuttle. We barely had enough cash to get up there! The walk to the top is 1.8 km each way. You just need to be a little clearer with this information. We enjoyed the tour

Knowing as a child the history of Pompeii, I was always seduced by the Vesuvius, we enjoyed the walk and the view of both the crater and what you can see from the top.

Never got an audio guide! We were told a human guide would be better, but we never got one because it took so long to get through the gate due to internet issues that we found it too late to get a guide...

Superb walk, even if it's quite steep, well worth the detour. Magnificent view
