Museo del Prado Guided Tours

The guide provided insightful commentary about the history, art and artists as we visited various galleries within the museum. Her remarks in English were very understandable and easy to hear with the whisper headsets our group wore during the 90-minute tour. Our guide readily answered questions during the tour. Being on the tour at the opening 10:00 am time of the Museum allowed us to avoid the long line for admission. The meeting place for the beginning of the tour was easy to find.

Despite I have booked the tour in English the actual tour was in English Spanish language. That was the only défaut! Ticket reservation was very easy and our guide Miguel kind and knowledgeable about the museum, he gave us a lot of useful information and made the tour very interesting. Overall it was a very good experience!

Booking was straightforward and the whole experience was excellent. Our guide and the rest of the group met outside Starbucks, just opposite the museum and we were given the audio aids and entry tickets. We had no waiting in the queues and were quickly guided around the artwork. Our guide was excellent throughout, mainly going over the history of 3 influential Spanish artists, but touching on various historical points that actually helped piece together some of the historical information gathered on the previous days city tour. We really appreciated the opportunity to take a coffee/cake after the tour and go around the skipped parts of this massive museum at a more leisurely pace. Super guided tour, amazing museum - excellent experience.

We had better than an audio guide in the form of a very knowledgeable guide, Alexandra. She was very considerate, explained the paintings very well and encouraged participation in the form of questions. It was a very small group of 3- 2 persons didn't show up which delayed us slightly but didn't impact the tour. I will book through HR this service again. We had a tour of the Palace which was a group of 25 and it was all too rushed and impersonal. Different company and more money. Go Headout!

Very easy to sign up and find the central meeting place. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The tour was as promised, with a little extra insight into some of the contextual reasons for the artwork we observed. A great lesson!

The guide was great, she stopped the necessary time and as we entered a little later due to technical problems she did not spare the time and we saw everything perfect.

The Spanish group was very small, so we did not miss any detail of Marisol's great explanations and "curiosities" during the almost two-hour tour.

What I didn't like: I expected the guide to be trained in Art, History or Art History. Instead, he was a tourist agent. It is not the guide's responsibility, but the responsibility of the company organizing the tour.

The guide was great! Thank you Laura! I liked that we were a small group. She suggested to us to take place in front of the masterpieces and she explained the historical details and the techniques used. I glad I got on this tour for my first visit at the Prado Museum.

We chose a tour in French, and the guide, Eva, was perfect. Her commentaries were both erudite and accessible, with the anecdotes that make guided tours so special. If you're not keen on painting from the 17th to the 19th centuries, go ahead, she'll be sure to pique your interest.

It was easy to buy tickets with Headout. We had quided tour and it was very interesting to learn more about paintings. Prado collection is breathtaking

Our guide Louisa was very good and knowledgeable about the art in the museum. It was really great that my wife and I were the only two persons in the group so we did not need headphones which made the experience much nicer.

The guide Ana Maria, fantastic. Truly 5 stars. Customer service, friendly, very organized, she had the group in her hand. That says it all about her quality as a professional. Her knowledge of Art History, great. She made a choice of paintings that allowed me to enjoy and learn more about the brilliant history of Spanish painting and the greats of Europe. Our tour guide made our visit the best experience. There are so many pieces of art work in Prado but the ones she showed us were educational and relevant. Her knowledge of the art was insightful. We saw things we otherwise would have missed. Could not recommend this tour highly enough. And she spoke excellent English. The hour and a half flew by. Having a ticket in advance also meant skipping that very long queue.
