Palace of Versailles Guided Tour with Optional All Access Ticket

We were let down by the taxi company we had booked to get us to Versailles & consequently we missed our guide slot. We were contacted by the guide who asked if we were okay & we explained we were extremely late due to taxi issue. The y then booked us on the next tour which was wonderful. The guide was friendly, informative & fun!!! Loved our visit after a stressful morning.

The tour/guide was very good. The change in plans- we took the bus due to unforeseen circumstances (not our choice) was lovely however, there was only 45 minutes to view the gardens before leaving on the bus. Our original ticket gave us no time restriction to view the gardens. That alone, dropped the score from excellent to good. I was disappointed to not be able to wander and enjoy the fountains and grounds.

Beautiful experience especially thanks to the guide who conveyed to us, in my opinion, the essence of Versaillles despite the short time we had. Thanks again

The tour group was advertised to be 15 or smaller and it was 18. The group had a hard time staying together in the crowded halls. The guide knew a lot but I think we would have gotten more from the headset self tour. The guide on the tour w a s friendly but the one working for Paris Tours organizing the groups was not very friendly.

Easy to use website and fast to book. Called me when I was 2 minutes away from meeting time which I liked as I knew they were expecting me . Our guide was Ling ( I think ) she was very knowledgeable . We went in through the side entrance. Which was quick was constantly giving us information. Gave us tips on where to get lunch . What I didn't like was we waited 20 minutes in one spot inside the foyer where there is nothing to look at and admire listening to Ling speak about the history and talking because we were waiting for other people in the group to go to the toilet and queue was long . Because of this we were NOT went in the great rooms for long it was quite rushed through the crowds . We never discussed any of the paintings etc . There was no funny stories etc . No looking out into the gardens telling us what was what . If we had stop to talk in these great rooms for 20 mins it would have been better as we could admire them , which would have been better whilst waiting for other people to go to the toilets . What I would have liked is at the end of the Tour we had the passport tickets if the guide had spent five minutes with us telling us where to access the garden where to buy the train ticket what to expect, that there was three stops all worth seeing and there was a HAMLET ( we went back in the train to petit Trianon to find the hamlet ) , we did not know where to get the train and buy the train ticket ! There are no signposts . There are little maps . BUT THE GUIDE SHOULD HAVE EXPLAINED TO US "You have these passport tickets this where to go for the garden and the train can take you there is so much to see etc etc etc

The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Palace of Versailles. She helped us buy the Garden ticket (it's important to note that this ticket doesn't include the Garden, you need to buy it inside). The downside was that she sped up the tour a lot because there was a couple on a tight flight schedule, which put the rest of us at a disadvantage.

Notre guide était super sympa. Elle nous a raconté des anecdotes croustillantes sur la vie des rois à cette époque. Nous avons passé un très bon moment. Et nous avons pu profiter de la journée complète à Versailles. C'était génial ! Le seul petit point négatif est le temps d'attente pour entrer dans le château à l'arrivée malgré le coupe-fil. Mais sinon, tout était super.

La guide etait exceptionnelle. Après le personnel n'a pas su bien me guider pour la suite; pour ceux qui parler français !!! Je suis quand même tombé sur une personne au point d'information qui parler tout juste français, limite j'aurais du parler anglais pour etre comprise. Il y en avait, enfin, qui me demandait de racheter un ticket alors que j'avais normalement pas a le faire (pour la visite des jardins)... du coup ca ma énervé et je suis partie plus tôt. J'ai l'impression d'avoir été arnaquée, ca ne vaut pas du tout les 72€ payé!

Die Führung war sehr gut. Unsere Guide kannte sich blendend auch mit nicht so geläufigen Dingen aus. Sehr freundlich, sehr umsichtig. Tolle kleine Gruppe. Lediglich 20 min Wartezeit.

I got many explanations from a kind guide. Especially in the mirror room , her talk about how rare those mirrors at that eras. Unless her guide,I would go throughout all course of palace in 30 minutes. Haha

Our guide was excellent. We loved the Palace. Disappointed that the equestrian statue was being renovated. Way too much to do in a day if you are in your late 60's. Just too much ground to cover. We wete too tired to even get into the gardens. But we did hire a cart to get to the petit and grand trianons. No way we could have walked it.

We booked the guided tour, and luckily we did. The queue to get into the chateau is shorter with a group than as a single admission. The guided tour was awesome, plenty of information and fun facts. I can only recommend this tour.

Guide was excellent and the rooms were wonderful as usual (this was my third visit to Versaille). Weather was miserable, which led to too many visitors being let into the palace at the same time. While this helped us all get out of the rain and cold, the severe crowding made it quite difficult to appreciate the artwork.

No waiting in line, explanations about the castle and the lives of its occupants, and how best to continue your visit.

The different language offering, the size of the group, the ability to skip the queue, and the use of portable devices for the guide to communicate the narration of the visit. Brilliant.

Our guide Francesco was great . He explained dramatically about the Palace history.. The ladies at the group joining was also very supportive.

The guide ,Francesco was really good so kept the tour really enjoyable. A little longer duration would have been nice specially describing gardens etc .

Our guide was outstanding and knew a lot of extra things about the history of Versailles that he shared with us. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about his job.
