Tootbus: London Hop-on-Hop-off Bus Tour with Optional Thames River Cruise

The best thing was the freedom with which I could use your different buses. It was only on the second day that I found your headphones, they were very useful, they worked much better than streaming. Traveling relaxed, without the pressure of having to see everything, was great.

I didn't understand how the narration worked so I was listening through my phone (streaming) but I kept loosing the audio. When the bus stopped the driver gave us headphones and showed us where they plugged in. That was very thoughtful of him. Once plugged in, the narration was engaging and fun. The bus was stopped on Tower Bridge to allow some sailboats to pass through. The driver suggested we go to the upper deck to watch the event or we exit the bus to watch from the pavement and he would "give us a whistle " when we needed to jump back on. We moved to the upper deck and enjoyed the view. Again, this was very thoughtful of him.

Was able to see a lot of London without having to walk too much (through the rain). Too bad it was also raining through the ceiling on the bus, so the driver had to stop earlier.

It was so easy and a great way to familiarise with the site seeing attractions. One of our drivers was fantastic when we wanted to change coloured routes walking us over to collect next bus. Audio brilliant . Highly recommend. Felt like I got the best photos riding on top of the bus

Bigbend the app is very nice, but you could update the real location of the buses more accurate

The guy on the River Cruise was very funny with his commentry. Easy to catch the buses and ran frequently

Great combined ticket for Tower of London + bus + Thames river. Of note : it is possible to embark on the cruise from the Tower of London and the go to Westminster Pier (not necessarily the other way round as indicated).

It was Ok. Bus drivers are nice. The didn't come as frequent. I would suggest to take the public bus system instead to save money

It was very slow going due to the traffic and so we listened to more music than anything else, although there would certainly have been a lot to tell about London between the individual stops. And it was very cold on the bus because everything is open.

The busses and routes were good. However, I seemed unable to download a full route map (such as the ones on the buses) from the website so wasted time trying to work out the routes and where to board the buses. . I had also understood that our tickets included the optional boat trip, but I was forced to return to the ticket office at Tower Bridge to buy tickets.

toot bus is a great oportunity to discover London. You shuld not use the app, instead use the provided headphones in the bus. Otherwise you will experience cut off descriptions all the time. The headout payment options are very limited.

We really enjoyed riding the double decker bus and it allowed us to at least see many of the famous London landmarks, however, because of the massive protest on October 5, 2024, the route had several diversions so we were not able to see everything that was offered on the tour. We actually decided to get off the bus at a stop and walk back to our hotel as traffic was at a standstill due to the disruptions all along the route that day so rather than waste our time stuck in traffic, we were at least still able to see some sights and experience the city. Unfortunate and not the fault of the company, but disappointing after spending so much money to take in the tour. If we return, we would do it again and explore the city properly, as the ability to get on and off the bus is a great way to see the major London attractions.

The driver was excellent!! She navigated the crazy rush hour traffic fantastically, and was so pleasant throughout! The taped narrative was annoying - far too much self-deprecating humour was totally unnecessary! Remember it's mostly tourists that travel these buses, many with English as a second language, any humour is usually lost. As tourists we want the facts about what we are seeing. It would be much better if there was more specific instruction of where to look, left right, coming up. Also due to traffic much of the recording was off pace. The driver saved it!

App may not be exactly accurate about which stops are in service, and may be gps interference from the tall buildings, but bus is always on route except for midday on weekend if protests are happening in central area. I couldn't board on my start day on a Saturday because of the protests, but was pleased with customer service reassigning my start day to my requested weekday- I believe it was Jennifer who responded by email- thanks!! Otherwise fairly seamless entry and exit- excellent way to get your bearings on the city layout and see incredible views to plan your more in depth visits. Recommend the 72 hours so you can use all three major routes to see the city. Great audio guide available.

I've been to London many times, this time taking the hop on hop off bus it took me to a lot of places I didn't know about. Also having a running commentary on the history of London was really interesting. Getting the bus was easy, staff were really pleasant and helpful. Having someone else drive around London was relaxing. I loved it and would do it again when I'm next in London.

It was good. Friendly and helpful staff. We got off the train at Waterloo it wasn't clear where the stop was. Happy there were staff there to direct us 😊

Everyone was extremely helpful getting us around parts of the city we wanted to see. The cruise was also very informative and funny. Well worth the money

The Bus tour itself was perfect, the audioguide had interesting details. Only the bus driver told us, he was going past Waterloo station and then didn't. He ended his tour at Victoria Station, where we did not want to end up in the already dark evening 🤨!
