Tootbus: London Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour with Thames River Cruise

The driver was excellent!! She navigated the crazy rush hour traffic fantastically, and was so pleasant throughout! The taped narrative was annoying - far too much self-deprecating humour was totally unnecessary! Remember it's mostly tourists that travel these buses, many with English as a second language, any humour is usually lost. As tourists we want the facts about what we are seeing. It would be much better if there was more specific instruction of where to look, left right, coming up. Also due to traffic much of the recording was off pace. The driver saved it!

App may not be exactly accurate about which stops are in service, and may be gps interference from the tall buildings, but bus is always on route except for midday on weekend if protests are happening in central area. I couldn't board on my start day on a Saturday because of the protests, but was pleased with customer service reassigning my start day to my requested weekday- I believe it was Jennifer who responded by email- thanks!! Otherwise fairly seamless entry and exit- excellent way to get your bearings on the city layout and see incredible views to plan your more in depth visits. Recommend the 72 hours so you can use all three major routes to see the city. Great audio guide available.

Everyone was extremely helpful getting us around parts of the city we wanted to see. The cruise was also very informative and funny. Well worth the money

For the cruise, there was a problem with the boat we were supposed to take so we had to spend another half hour waiting in line(after already waiting that long or more). The worker that was in charge of the line was very rude to the crowd of people waiting when she told us what was happening. I think it was handled very poorly and unprofessional.

The audio was enjoyable..it was a mix of funny stories and history The drivers and staff were very nice and polite Buses that we got on for green and blue route were uncomfortable and it half covered specially on those rainy days

The only problem was it swapped from a blue line tour into a yellow line tour without letting anyone know so then you were way out the way of where you were.

We didn’t meet any of support staff on bus stops. We didn’t get information from the bus (it was a horrible traffic, we knew that, but we waiting an hour for the bus on the yellow rout in afternoon. )

We loved the audio guide in the tour. It was really interesting to listen to, clear and easy to understand. It would have been better if there were more buses available more frequently. Had to wait almost 40 min to get the first bus from Buckingham Palace, whereas we saw buses from other services arriving at the stop more frequently.

The bus driver ( referred to above as the guide) was extremely rude and impatient, and not helpful at all. The TOOTBUS we were on had issues with the audio guide with the language changing on us every few minutes. Most frustrating to have to constantly change channels looking for the English audio!

The tour gave us our bearings to go explore the city. However, the actual commentary sometimes felt more like a commercial or ads for various businesses. We would have preferred more historical facts about what we were seeing.

The boat trip was by far the best part. Tickets arrived electronically without any issues. The down side was the bus experience! Stuck in traffic for a lot of the time, and the recorded commentary from the man and woman was just dire! They talked endlessly about themselves and so little about what we were actually driving past, including not even mentioning the Cenotaph- unbelievably bad!

Steve was fabulous - very very knowledgable with a great sense of humor. I learned a lot of history - not sure how he remembers all of that info but he sure stores alot in that brain. Thanks Steve for a great tour!

The audio guide constantly slips out of my ears. Not enough information about interesting buildings in the audio guide. Too much music. No information from the driver at the beginning about where to find the audio guide. Overall, far too long waiting times at the stops. The sightseeing buses from other providers came much more frequently.

The audio on the bus was not good. The river cruise was great. Near the end of the day the buses did not come as expected and we spent a half hour wondering if we would make it back to the point of origin. It was okay, but not as helpful as we might have liked. I have to say the first driver was helpful when we got off to see Buckingham Palace. Some of the other drivers appeared to want to help but lacked the English to do so. Next time we will choose a company with live tour guides. It was too frustrating not to have someone to answer questions.

I loved taking a scenic route around London with the bus! 🚌 I had hoped for a longer cruise on the Thames rivee, that was, to me, a little on the short side.

It would be helpful if told where to look, left, right, etc. As we are not familiar with London, so sometimes no idea what it was about. Would have liked less fuss, preferred the facts and trivia about what I see instead of the guide's experiences.

The guy on the River Cruise was very funny with his commentry. Easy to catch the buses and ran frequently

gave wrong instructions, missed the bus

It made it possible to visit various tourist attractions in an organized and optimized way.

Ticketing was smooth and the staff were helpful.I found the boat cruise educational and informative
