Great day out, only thing to be mindful of is whether you have a ticket that's eligible for a full years re-entry. Ours wasn't and we didn't realise when booking but definitely would have gone back.

The palace was beautiful and the audio tour was so much fun with the finding the hidden door or seeing how the palace looked during different times and hearing different voices, such as the gardener.

I liked the audioguide, it was very interesting. The people who work at the castle are very nice, they explain to me how to collect my ticket.

This was by far the best tour I've ever been on! This was an all day tour led by Ali, our tour guide. She was the best we've had and drove us through the winding roads of the highlands to amazing places while sharing the rich history of Scotland's people and culture. The landscapes we saw were surreal and the tour wove in breaks for us to take photos and experience Scottish life in various towns. It was a great time and we would look forward to any tour Ali leads in the future.

The day we arrived in Edinburgh due to weather problems we could not land and lost the palace ticket we had with headout and two others with civitatis. I sent an email to both to be able to book again. In the two with civitatis they did not compensate me with anything, but, headout gave us a 25% on the new reservations.
