It was so easy to get the tickets at the airport information desk. The lady we dealt with was so polite and professional. Picked up the tickets, headed to the Metro and off to the hotel. We used the Barcelona card to gain discounted access to some muesums, the cable car and the aquarium. The card is a must - the discounts may be small in some locations, but they do add up. Well worth it.

Public transportation was great. The streetcars & buses came every 5 min. Sometimes it was a bit of a maze where the subways were but the signs they had helped. When I come back I will take my travel card through Hola Barcelona again !

Probably the easiest and most flexible way to get around the city. We nearly went for the open top bus but it wouldn;t have been suitabel for what we ended up doing.

Barcelona has a very well-developed metro network. There is a train every 5 minutes. Super signposting. The only thing that was a bit annoying was picking up the ticket, as you first have to go to an info point to get the tickets.
The metro is a great way to explore Barcelona. Very clean stations. Top

Not so good: After 3 days the card stopped working. Had to speak to staff at Placa Catalunya and get a new card. Difficult if only Spanish was spoken, English not an option.

Otherwise, you can quickly get anywhere you want to go. The buses/metro ect run every minute.

You could easily take any bus or train. With the help of the accompanying, excellent mobility app, it was very easy to get from anywhere in Barcelona to wherever you wanted to go by public transport.

to begin with, my reservation no longer appeared on the headout application. so I was anxious, but the gentleman on plaça de la catalunya found it with my name, and I thank him. IT'S A REAL PLEASURE TO USE THIS CARD, ESPECIALLY FOR THE METRO, WHICH IS VERY PRACTICAL.

La Hola has greatly expedited travel times on both metro and surface. Only downside: the Liceu metro entrance ticket office on April 2 denied access. After several attempts, at least 10' later, it accepted the Hola which was still valid. If we had not insisted we would have had to buy tickets.

The Hola Barcelona trevel card is good in itself.
It was difficult to redeem the Hola card to get the right ticket.
We didn't find a stand at the airport or in the metro.
Only outside the metro at Catalania Square was there a small red stand where you could exchange the ticket.
We would buy the ticket again directly at the metro station.

The card was easy to purchase and easy to use. It was so much better than having to buy a card for each trip. We used it on the metro and one of the buses. It is definitely the way to go. There was never a problem with it!
