The visit was enjoyable, our guide knew a lot and despite everything we saw, she kept our attention throughout the visit. We were left wanting to go back to the museum, there is so much to see and obviously on a general tour like that there was not time for everything. Skipping the lines at the Sistine Chapel and the cathedral is a plus.

Positive: to make the visit with less people around.
Negative: the guide didn't show much interest in explaining the wonders we were going to see: on the explanations panel you couldn't see it and she didn't bother to turn on the flashlight.

Our tour guide knew a ton about the Vatican and it made it an enjoyable experience. It was easy to locate the guide and they took great steps to get our entire group through the ticketing and security.
It should be noted, this is a WALKING tour - no problem for me but there were some folks in my group (had cane/mobility issues) who seemed surprised by that and weren't able to complete the tour. The walking was about 1.5-2 hours total.

Stefano was engaging, knowledgable, passionate and I found his dry sense of humour funny. It was amazing to be literally the last people on n the chapel. I can only imagine what it must be like to be in the middle of a daytime crowd.

The guide rushed through the tour without explaining anything well, we could have walked through just alone, no added value. Also the guide left us before entering sistine chapel, while we saw other guides stayed until the end with the group. Very bad experience, absolutely not worth the money.

Spent 50% of the time not in the museum...waiting to go in, security, vatican garden, talking about the paintings from posters in the outdoor square. Then rushing through the museum, they nearly closed the route to Sistine Chapel before we got there. It was busier than expected by the 'after hours' ticket sale.

We paid double the regular entry price only for our tour guide to spend 45 minutes showing us a plastic sign outside the Vatican and then she rushed us through the museums so we could make it through before closing. But with an "after hours tour" the whole point was to go in after closing time. If we had bought regular tickets and gone on our own at 4pm I would have had a MUCH better time. Our guide completely ruined the experience and to call it an "after hours tour" is false advertising and a huge lie.
