Half-day experience
Start by getting into traditional Karen clothing, then meet and greet the elephants with their favorite snacks—bananas and sugarcane. After feeding, it’s time to get muddy! Join them for a spa treatment, covering the elephants in a healthy layer of mud while they happily frolic. Next up? A splashy trip to the river for a fun bathing session. Scrub, swim, and bond with these gentle giants as they play in the water. Wrap up the day with snacks, fresh fruits, and some final photos before heading back to Chiang Mai.

If you prefer observing elephants in their natural element, the 'Watch Me' experience is your go-to! Slip into traditional Karen attire and follow the elephants as they stroll, forage, and bathe in the jungle. Ready for the full elephant experience? After a scenic ride through Chiang Mai’s stunning countryside, you’ll arrive at the sanctuary, greeted by your English-speaking guide. Start with feeding and learning about each elephant’s unique story. Then, after lunch, it’s time to dive into a full day of elephant fun. Walk alongside them as they wander through the jungle, then give them a mud bath in their spa! The fun continues with a refreshing river bath, where you’ll scrub, splash, and play with these gentle creatures. You are welcome to bring your camera to the experience. However, unless your device is waterproof, it is recommended not to use it during the mud activity or while bathing the elephants in the river.

The sanctuary offers a complimentary photography service. A professional photographer will accompany you and will upload the photos taken to the EJS Chiang Mai Facebook page. You can find the images labeled with the date and program name. Please download the images within 90 days from the visit date, after which the photos will be permanently deleted.
