Palais Galliera, after its brief hiatus, is back with its debut exhibition featuring the legendary allure of Chanel. Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto is a celebration of the designer’s enduring significance in the world of fashion and her extraordinary style which is truly timeless. With over 350 pieces arranged in 10 chapters (each accompanied by a portrait of the designer embodying the spirit of the fashion house), the retrospective is organized in two parts - chronologically and thematically. The first part recounts Chanel’s history with few emblematic pieces, from little black dresses and sporty gowns of the Roaring Twenties to the sophisticated attire of the 1930s. The second part analyzes the Coco Chanel aesthetic: the braided tweed suit, two-tone pumps, fine jewelry, and more.

The exhibition covers nearly 7,500-square-foot in space and showcases approximately 200,000 items gathered from various sources like the Palais Galliera Collections and Patrimoine de CHANEL, international museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the Museo de la Moda in Santiago de Chile, as well as from private collections.

Wearing a mask is compulsory for all visitors aged 11 and above
