Expoziție frumoasă Pe lângă avioane și navetă, există multe relatări ale momentelor de război în care Intrepid a fost prezent. Interesante sunt și toate secțiunile în care sunt relatate situațiile politice și sociale din perioadele Războiului Rece și Vietnam.

Muzeu cu prețuri rezonabile pentru a petrece 90 de minute rătăcind în jurul unui portavion din al doilea război mondial / Vietnam, diverse avioane, iconicul Concorde și un submarin. Experiență adăugată de a vorbi cu fostul personal care a servit pe navă. Păcat că turul cu ghid Concorde a fost un cost suplimentar. În general, aș recomanda dacă aveți timp.

Ce mi-a plăcut la experiența mea la muzeul Intrepid a fost cât de mare era Intrepidul. Ceea ce conținea era uimitor tot modelul. Avioanele și elicopterele au fost o adevărată minune. Cel care a ieșit în evidență pentru mine, marinarul care a explicat multe din ceea ce a făcut nava în timpul războiului. Mi-a plăcut foarte mult faptul că avea poza lui de când era în război. A fost uluitor să aflu că avea doar 19 ani când a început războiul. Vizitarea navei Intrepid m-a ajutat să realizez pentru ce au luptat oamenii națiunii noastre pentru ca noi să putem fi unde suntem astăzi. Mi-ar fi plăcut o prelegere despre Intrepid și personalul care l-a operat în timpul războiului. Nu mi-am dat seama cât de mic era la interior, eu fiind o persoană mare. A fost un pic dificil de manevrat, dar asta e vina mea. Mi-am adus nepotul cu mine, care se află în spectrul autismului. El are o capacitate minunată de a citi și a citit toate anunțurile informative pentru fiecare dintre avioanele modelate într-un elicopter. M-a întrebat dacă poate să stea în ele, așa cum a făcut la expoziția auto. S-a distrat de minune.

Stepping off the elevator onto the 8th floor, you'll be greeted with views of High Line Park. As you descend through the Whitney, Edward Hopper's New York unfolds chronologically through sketches and illustrations. Descend through the museum, and each floor unveils a different facet of contemporary art. Video installations might immerse you in another world, while the sculptures demand your attention. The Whitney Biennial is a smorgasbord of artistic expression, featuring artists from marginalized communities who explore what art means in the 21st century. The museum's permanent collection offers a respite, where you can encounter works by American masters. Keep an eye out for a Georgia O'Keeffe flower or a Jackson Pollock drip painting.
