We were really impressed with the zoo overall and its effort to sustainability. The Koalas were great as were the Pandas. My favourite was the Gorillas while my grandson loved the different environments created for each animal. We rode the double decker bus and discovered many things we didn't know about animals and plantsKarri

I think it was Tim who shred his knowledge about the Orangatans. We met the older female, Aunt Karen, who came up and said hello to him as he said she usually does. It was very special. We didn't get any good shots of Karen but here's one of a Silverback. It's a beautiful zoo and everyone was relaxed & patient. Nice day :)Marsha

I was glad to get my ticket in advance thru Headout online. I only wished that I knew multi visits to the San Diego Zoo & Safari Park could have been combined so I would have gotten a lower overall cost. But the parks were great!
Take a trip into the wilderness and explore the animal kingdom in its entirety with this cost-saver of a combo tour to San Diego's Zoo and Zoo Safari Park.
Zoo many things to see!
The San Diego Zoo is all about enjoying an immersive experience from one enclosure to the next. Start your day with a guided bus tour, and get introduced to 4,500 rare and endangered animals. Stroll through the winding paths of the lush botanical garden, home to koalas, Galápagos tortoises, tigers, elephants, flamingos, and great apes. If you're visiting on the day of a show, you must try and catch it as it is a treat to watch animals synchronize and show their skills.
The tour continues into the world of the Arctic at the Conrad Preby Polar Bear Plunge. Ever measured yourself against a polar bear or crawled into a bear den? Here, you can do both and even climb aboard an Arctic research helicopter for an unforgettable experience. Move to the Harry and Grace Steele Elephant Odyssey, a unique 7.5-acre habitat designed to mirror the elephants' natural environment. Don't miss out on a stunning 65-foot manmade waterfall, Rady Falls.
Safari like the Savannah
With 2600 species, this state-of-the-art safari is known for recreating a savannah-like space, offering an African environment feel with its spacious enclosures. Spot majestic African elephants, giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, and wild cats like cheetahs. Earn a chance to get up close to these gorgeous creatures. You can also opt for other safaris like the butterfly jungle safari, cart safari, and flightline safari, at a cost.
