Who doesn't love a romantic getaway? The cruise along the Rhine River in Cologne is a nice escape from the crowded streets, giving you quality time as the sun goes down.
Cruising in Cologne
When you're visiting Cologne, you must try to catch the 2-hour evening cruise that offers a panoramic view of the city. The cathedral city offers an informative experience, giving you more reasons to learn about Cologne while relaxing. Pass by the Rhine metropolis, glimmering in the evening lights, making it a great backdrop for your pictures. The metropolis is divided into two regions, both located on either side of the river.
Further, you will pass by the most visited landmark in Germany, the Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Gothic architecture. Admire the pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and the tallest-twin spired church. See the spires illuminated in green, a sight worth admiring. You will also pass by the Romanesque churches of St. Kunibert, Groß St. Martin, and St. Maria Lyskirchen which have a more modern structure in comparison.
An Entertaining Evening
As you enjoy cruising along the Rhine, you can plonk on the beach chairs on the spacious deck and enjoy the sunset. To enhance your experience, enjoy grooving to live lounge music and optional à la carte meals and drinks. Choose from a delicious cocktail, a cool Sion Kölsch beer, or something tasty from the barbecue if you like. It's a great way to have a wholesome experience on the cruise.
