Sitting snugly atop Lisbon's highest hill, the Castelo de São Jorge is one of Lisbon’s most emblematic landmarks. Winding along the ancient stone walls of the Moorish Castle felt like stepping through time. The sweeping views over Sintra’s forests and the Atlantic beyond were unforgettable, especially as the mist rolled in and out, revealing hidden corners of history.
