The Doges' Palace is really interesting and magnificent! The Basilica is also pretty, but less impressive.

Admission was quick and uncomplicated. It is located to the left of the cathedral, we only had to wait a short time there and were then able to go straight into the cathedral.

We were through security very quickly and into St Mark's to see this wonderous Cathedral. Well worth a visit and to skip the long queue. Thank you!!

The audio guide must be downloaded through an app. But in the basilica the phone gets terrible reception, so we had to pay twice for the audio guide, taking the ones provided by the basilica at 7 euros each. But working. Instead, the skip-the-line service and tickets for the altarpiece, museum, and basilica "worked just fine." A marvel of mosaics and art.

I think there are more relaxed ways to redeem a ticket. First of all, I had to collect the tickets from a small office. The good thing was that I could pick them up earlier than just 15 minutes before the appointment. Everything worked out fine there. However, I had to download the access in the office with their WLan and also enter another password there. Unfortunately, I didn't see when I booked that this audio guide was only available in English. We rented an audio guide in German in the cathedral for €5. You could have booked the altar and the visit to the terrace in the cathedral separately, but then you would have had to queue there. Nevertheless, I think we were ill-advised with €39 and the circumstances
