Great tour that we did, in Spanish, by the guide Lili, very recommendable experience to know a little more of the Basilica. Climbing the dome is a must of the visit, definitely a great experience.

Our guide Federico was spectacular, very knowledgeable helpful and friendly. He took us on a journey through time with all the descriptions and anecdotes of the place, he is passionate about history and art, he revealed very interesting little tidbits about the works, statues and paintings. The view from the top of the city is fantastic Experience to be recommended! (Ask for Federico!)

Booking of the tour is easy. Though we had a little hard time finding the meeting point, the overall experience is awesome. Our guide is professional and detail in explanations. Additionally also provided us guidance and informations to enjoy the rest of or time in Rome.

The climb to the Dome's top involves a substantial number of steps and requires a decent level of physical fitness. It is not recommended for people with heart/back conditions, mobility issues, or late-stage pregnancy.

Additional information

Expect a considerable wait at security, especially during peak times. Patience is key, it could take over 2 hours!
Around religious holidays at the Vatican, parts of the tour such as the Papal Tombs may not be open. In this case, the tour of the Basilica itself will be extended.
