Pro tips to help you make a pick

The only way to get to the Statue of Liberty is by ferry. If you can't get a first-ferry ticket, consider the later ferry departures (around closing time). Crowds tend to thin out towards the end of the day, offering a more relaxed exploration.

Remember that the ferry service is different from a cruise. The ferry is specifically intended to transport visitors to Liberty Island, where you can explore the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on foot. A cruise will navigate around the harbor near both islands, but you will not have the opportunity to disembark from the cruise.

While the Crown offers stunning views, consider the physical challenge. The narrow, 360-step spiral staircase with limited headroom might not be suitable for everyone. Opt for the Pedestal for impressive views and a less strenuous climb.

There are no on-site kennels at the Statue of Liberty so make suitable arrangements beforehand. However you can take your pets along on the sightseeing cruise.
