Having a timed entrance ticket is essential. The museum is a must visit to learn about Van Gogh's life, family and what influenced him. The audio-guide proved to be invaluable / we chose the shorter 45 minute option but did stop and listen and look at other paintings not included in the short journey.. There are shops inside the museum and one outside to buy souvenirs.

Museum accessible , the checkroom simple and practical . Only note : I would prefer to pay the ticket more and let in fewer people at a time . Unfortunately there are many rude people who force you to pass too quickly in front of the works .

Very crowded despite the timed entry. Beautiful collection. I wish more people knew not to walk in front of people while viewing.

It's a really fascinating museum and definitely worth visiting. The collection is very large so you need to take enough time for this experience. However, some regulations are bizzar, i. e. we had to leave all our things in the locker, I only took some money with me, but when we were at the cafe it turned out that they don't accept cash so I had to walk and pick my handbag with all the cards only to be stopped at the escalator because of the bag. I found it an exaggeration and also very exhausting since we were hungry. You also need to wait in a queue to get a locker, you cannot just choose one that is free. You even need to wait in a queue if you just want to get your card out of your locker or leave the bag that you mistakenly took.

Explore a smart combo of two of Amsterdam's most comprehensive art museums.
