What to expect
Stonehenge
Gaze at the sheer scale of Stonehenge as you walk towards it. This ring of standing stones, a prehistoric monument that has captivated people for centuries, remains mysterious and is clouded by ancient rituals and astronomical alignments. Walk around the perimeter and admire the sarsen stones and bluestones. The audio guide will provide insights into the stones' history, geology, and theories surrounding their construction.
Neolithic Houses and Visitor Center
The Neolithic houses near the Visitor Center offer a glimpse into the lives of the people who lived in this area thousands of years ago and imagine what daily life might have been like. The visitor center houses an exhibit that showcases over 250 archaeological artifacts excavated from the Stonehenge site. These include tools, pottery, jewelry, and human remains, providing valuable context for understanding the monument's history.
