Det var en fin utställning med en bra överblick över spanska målare. Tyvärr var vi ändå tvungna att ställa oss i kö till biljettkassan. Det fanns inget alternativ för att hoppa över kön.

Det står "skip the line" men det fungerar inte så, du måste passera biljettkontoret ändå, ingen tidsbesparing! Headout var dock känt i biljettkontoret och vi fick två biljetter och kunde komma in på det sättet. Tjänade 2,00 euro på det sättet.

See stunning examples of 19th-century Spanish and Andalucían art at the newly restored Museo Carmen Thyssen in Málaga. Admire the beautiful 16th-century Palacio de Villalón, a striking example of the city’s Renaissance architecture. Built over the remains of the Roman city, within the old Moorish quarter of Málaga, the restoration project focused on the recovery of the original layout, combined with newly built areas that co-exist in harmony. Arranged across 2 ﬂoors around a central courtyard surrounded by arcaded galleries – particularly notable elements are the carved wooden ceilings and supporting fretwork in the principal rooms – are a number of 17th-century Spanish paintings on display.

From its outset the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza collection has been admired for its wide-ranging horizon and rigorous quality, presenting a comprehensive survey of 19th-century Spanish painting genres, focusing, in particular, on Andalusia. Simply scan the QR code on the labels next to the paintings. An app to read QR codes must be installed on the mobile device in order to access this

Brochures (available for free download): In the rooms, you will find specific QR codes to download the brochures for the Permanent Collection and temporary exhibitions

Painting materials and objects that may damage the works of art (such as tripods, skateboards, "selfie" sticks, etc.) are prohibited

Access to the Carmen Thyssen Museum is free every Sunday from 4pm onwards.
