Guiden (er) och busschauffören var alla bra! Chambord var helt fantastiskt, även om själva slottet mestadels är tomt, med undantag för faux hjorthuvuden som representerar Francis I: s historia och jaktförmåga, moderna konstinstallationer och en reproduktion av teatern; det låter dig fokusera på själva byggnaden. Amboise var väldigt coolt, mycket mindre och mer hemtrevligt, med mer i vägen för historiskt berättande i utställningarna jämfört med Chambord, och några exceptionella vyer över Loire; men staden kan vara ännu bättre än slottet. Du kommer inte att bli uttråkad om du hoppar över slottsturen. Personligen var Orléans den enda del jag kunde ha klarat mig utan. Besöket i Orléans fokuserade på två platser: katedralen och Jeanne d'Arcs "hem".
