Spend a day exploring the Yucatán on this all-inclusive tour. After getting picked up from your hotel, you will make your way to the vast pre-Columbian archeological site of Chichén Itzá. Your expert guide will show you plenty of Mayan ruins here before leading you to the legendary Kukulkan pyramid, also known as El Castillo or The Castle. What’s fascinating about this place is that it has 365 steps, each one representing one day in the year. More interestingly, twice a year, on the spring and autumn equinoxes, a shadow falls on the pyramid in the shape of a serpent, such that as the sun sets, it looks like a snake is slithering down the stairs.
From here, get set to cool off and enjoy a swim in the cavernous freshwater pool of the Hibuku cenote. The natural light reflecting off the limestone formations of the cave makes for an entirely magical experience. After you’ve worked up an appetite, break for lunch and feast on a buffet meal, before continuing onwards to your last stop, Valladolid. The cosy little town is rich in Spanish colonial architecture, colorful streets and history. Stroll through its lively main square and take photographs before heading back to your hotel.
