Katedralen i Sevilla är imponerande med sin storlek, fantastiska gotiska arkitektur och utsmyckning. Man kan bara förundras över medeltidsmästarnas konstruktion och hantverksskicklighet. Det är alltid mycket långa köer vid biljettdisken. Med headout-biljetten kunde vi gå in i katedralen och La Giralda-tornet vid den valda tiden utan att köa. Jag kan bara varmt rekommendera förbokning. Uppstigningen till tornet har en speciell egenskap, eftersom det inte finns några trappor som leder till utsiktsplattformen, utan sluttningar. Från plattformen har du hela Sevilla under dig, men alltid genom säkerhetsgallren. Tyvärr förtar detta upplevelsen något.Raymond

Vi njöt av vårt besök i den vackra katedralen i Sevilla. Katedralbyggnaden är väl underhållen och mycket unik jämfört med andra traditionella katedraler i Europa. Alla bilderna blev perfekta.

Effektivt organiserad entré till katedralen. Endast elektronisk biljett, vilket kan vara besvärligt om det inte finns tillgång till nätverk eller om din telefon kraschar vid inpasseringen. Katedralen är en imponerande kyrka till storlek och design. En höjdpunkt är vandringen upp till toppen av katedralens Giralda-torn. Den biljett du köper ger dig också rätt att gå in i Frälsarens kyrka (Iglesia del Salvador), vilket är väl värt att utnyttja.

The mosque-cathedral and its spinning vane!
The cathedral, showcasing Gothic and Baroque styles, features breathtaking vaulted ceilings inside. Don't miss the official crypt of Christopher Columbus! Outside, find intricate relishes for different entrance façades, like the Door of the Lizard with its hanging crocodile and the lavishly designed Door of the Prince in front of which is a sculpture of Faith.
You will also get a chance to go up the Giralda, the bell tower of the cathedral that stands at 105 meters, which is one of the most important symbols of the city. It’s named after the weathervane on top that means ‘she who turns’. Spectacular views of the lush Andalusian countryside and Seville can be seen from here.
The Church of El Salvador is another lesser-known, albeit equally significant attraction of Seville. Built in the Baroque style, the breathtaking 17th-century wood carvings are a must-see!
