Det var en riktigt magisk upplevelse. Guiden var riktigt rolig och hon förklarade både historiska fakta och kuriosa om de platser vi besökte men också om Aten. Vi stannade först vid den äldsta bevarade teatern i världen och guiden gav oss lite tid att utforska området och ta några bilder. Sedan åkte vi till Capo Sunion där Poseidons tempel ligger. Det var en så magisk plats med utsikt över havet. Vi var här i en timme och sedan tog bussen oss tillbaka till Syntagma. Platsen var verkligen vacker och suggestiv. Jag tycker att det var helt värdigt, kanske det bästa jag såg under min resa till Aten.

The tour will start from Athens and will take you along the south coast towards the Athens Riviera. You will travel in a premium air-conditioned bus, as you take in the beautiful scenery on the journey. An English speaking guide and escort will accompany your group, giving you a great deal of insight into the area. You will soon reach the Sounion, and be dazzled by the spectacular landscape around you. The Sounion is one of the prominent areas mentioned in Homer’s epic Odyssey. In ancient Greece, the area was a sacred ground dedicated to Athena and Poseidon.

You can see the marvelous Temple of Poseidon perched on the edge of a cliff, 70 meters above water level. If you wish to explore its interiors, you can buy entry tickets at the temple's entrance.

Gaze across the Aegean Sea from the cliff, where legend says King Aegeus threw himself off. Your guide will talk about the story behind Aegeus throwing himself off the cliff, while also talking about the significance of the area and its history. You can catch a breathtaking sunset over the sea, which is perfect for some memorable photos.
