Saltgruvorna var bra, men jag skulle ha velat ha lite tid att titta runt de små marknadsstånden, uppenbarligen lokalbefolkningen så det skulle ha varit trevligt att köpa souvenirer. guiden var inte särskilt informativ.

Saltgruvan var imponerande. Jag älskade all information som vår reseguide gav (Rodiga tror jag var hennes namn). Hon gav oss information inte bara om saltgruvan utan om rumänsk historia och staden Bukarest också. Hon talade mycket bra engelska och hon svarade på alla våra frågor. The tour was excellent and well-organized. The bus was clean and punctual. Our guide, Sonia, was fantastic! She provided a detailed explanation of the itinerary and ensured everyone understood the meeting point and return time. During the drive to the salt mine, she shared interesting information about the historic buildings we passed and the city's history. We also requested a favor on the return trip, and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. I highly recommend this tour!

Hills of history and healing
The salt mine hall stands at 70 meters tall and the circuit runs around the enormous pillar supporting the mine. Here, admire the basso-rilievo works depicting some of the most important figures in Romanian history.
Inside the Salt Mine, you will find a small history museum, a soccer field and a children's playground. The place is also used for various sports events (athletic competitions and as training ground for sport teams), as sanatorium for the elderly and the sick or as a scenery for the film industry.
After visiting the Salt Mine, the tour continues to the Salt Museum, where you can find out about the history of salt exploitation and it's biological importance.
