With the website and the Puy du Fou app, you can plan your shows in advance. These spectacular shows are always changing—they know how to keep things fresh.

The staff at the entrance are very friendly. Be prepared to climb a few steps, but the view from the city walls is absolutely stunning. Inside, the tapestry room is extraordinary, with scenes and symbols worth examining in detail—ideally with a guide who can provide explanations. There’s also a small courtyard with a spot that serves excellent, refreshing handmade juices and much more.

I visited many castles during my trip to the Loire Valley, but I particularly liked the ones in Villandry. They have beautifully decorated interiors that are truly fascinating.
