The museums are located in the beautiful town center. The size of both villas is impressive. Beautiful architectural planning unites villa and park and turns it into an oasis of peace.

Very much appreciated being able to do the visits with dogs. This is my first time and I think it is to be replicated on many other facilities

Hadrian's 'Villa' is much larger than one expects. It is better to call it a palatial complex. It is truly vast and amazing.

Our visit to Villa d'Este and its fabulous gardens was great. I liked that we could choose a different day to attend up to about 30 days forward. I needed to use the ticket a day prior to my reservation and this is a NO change, NO refund (which is OK). We were able to change our transportation to use the reserved ticket as stated. The villa self tour was relaxing and not rushed. The gardens, of course, were outstanding and we had perfect weather. Headout was easy to reserve our tickets and I printed out our QR sheets; but since I forgot those when we left the U.S., I was happy that I could go back into the website and put the information on my phone. We also took the bus 1.5E to/from Villa Adrianna (Hadrian's villa complex). That, too, was easy and the bus stopped right in front of the ticket office. My QR codes worked well and the staff there was helpful and friendly. This self tour was also awesome and peaceful. What a complex.

Although not a museum, the visit to Villa D'Este was magnificent, beautiful gardens and waterworks, even arriving earlier than booked the staff was very helpful in letting us enjoy it at our pleasure. Great experience!

There's plenty to explore in Italy outside Rome, The Eternal City. One such example is Tivoli, an hour east of the capital. This hilltop town was once the summer retreat for ancient Romans and the Renaissance rich. Today it is known for its 16th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Villa d'Este. Exploring this lavish Renaissance retreat is simply a treat for the eyes. Expect landscaped gardens, lavish fountains, statues, and grottoes that will take your breath away.

Built for Ippolito d'Este, the 16th-century cardinal, and statesman, the Villa d'Este is awe-inspiring inside and out, and a much-copied model for European gardens. With your ticket, you can admire its impressive gardens, stroll along paths circled enveloped by statues, and listen to the tinkling of water from the fountains on its endless terraces. Inside the villa, see stunning wall-to-wall frescoes in lavish halls and rooms.
