About Tokyo Tower
Enjoy a double viewpoint delight at Tokyo Tower. Ascend this 333-meter Parisian-inspired structure for unmatched cityscape views and top spots like Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Skytree and Mt. Fuji. Visit 2 observation decks for elevated views. Day or night, the view's sure to captivate.
Completed in 1958, Tokyo Tower held the title of Japan's tallest structure for over 32 years, until Tokyo Skytree surpassed it in 2010.
While its design echoes the Eiffel Tower, Tokyo Tower is actually 13 meters taller!
The tower's signature colors might appear red and white from afar, but they're officially classified as international orange and white. This specific color scheme was chosen to meet aviation safety regulations.
An impressive feat for its time, the construction of Tokyo Tower relied heavily on manual labor. Around 220,000 craftspeople were involved in its 1.5-year construction process.
