Gatorland is home to the largest community of rare albino and leucistic alligators in the United States.
The breeding marsh area was filmed for the 1984 movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
The theme park’s unique entrance in the form of a gaping gator jaw was designed by founder Owen Godwin’s youngest son, Frank. He painted it in his father’s favorite color scheme — Florida aqua and white.
On 6 November 2006, a fire broke out at the gift shop in Gatorland causing the death of one dwarf crocodile, two pythons and two hatchling alligators.

The single entrance to Gatorland is striking and hard to miss. It is marked by a gigantic gator mouth with a Florida aqua-colored jaw and razor-sharp white teeth.
Accessible entrance
The Disability Access Entrance is located near the main entrance. It is specifically for disabled guests who require accessible entry.
The last admission to Gatorland is at 4pm.
Restrooms can be found at different locations in the park.
The gift shop is available near the park‘s exit and includes a wide collection of apparel, plush toys, and merchandise.
